I've had this paddle for approximately 10 years, and it's been a true workhorse. When I'm not in the best physical condition, I tend to tire out rather quickly. However, this paddle is remarkably robust and dependable. It has shown very little wear and tear over the years. But the price has skyrocketed recently. When I originally purchased it, it was maybe only a third of the cost of my creeker back then.

Thanks so much for the thoughts and feedback. Stoked to hear you have gotten so much life out of it. I am looking forward to paddling a lot more with mine. Yep, paddles (and it seems everything) has gone up so much in price. I think there is still great value in the Manic but yes, it is not an inexpensive paddle that's for sure. Thanks again.

@@AQOutdoorsI hope your paddle serves you as well as mine has served me. I don't have an adjustable one, which is probably its only weak point. This year, I purchased a new paddle from Galasport for my wife, but it's a different model that offers more flexibility. As an occasional paddler, she doesn't get tired as quickly with this paddle. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Galuska personally, and he is a great guy. They approach their work with a lot of passion.

Thanks for the great videos. How is the paddle for downriver play? Stern prys and reverse sweeps? I'm sure the forward catch would be awesome but don't know if it is awkward for those moves.

Thanks for the kind words.. it is our pleasure. To start with it does feel a little awkward/ different to a more traditional paddle. However, after some adjusting to the balance point etc the power you get on forward strokes etc translates into stern squirts, prys etc. I wouldn't want it personally as an actual freestyle paddle as the blades are big and it's hard on the shoulders. However for wave wheels, stern squirts etc it is fantastic..
