There is a common scam going on with Ebay, Aliexpress, and any site that allows third party sellers. You buy something, and they provide you with someone else's tracking number and never send out the item. Which is why the tracking address information doesn't match the seller's nor the buyers. It happens to me several times a year. Luckily I've never had a problem with my credit card company refunding me the money.
Why buy on these shitty tvs meanwhile on Amazon you get good LG tvs quality for low price? 🤔 And good warranty.
Wait, so they're drop shipping but not shipping? Damn that's a new one for me
@@En-bv8ns no they sell a TV to a customer and then reuse the same tracking number as proof they shipped the TV for other customers, so they basically sell one TV but get paid for many TV.
I'm so glad to see people actually talking about this I have been dealing with this issue for years but no one has said anything.
Had that happen with shoes on dhgate
Got to imagine that the bears are enjoying episodes of Winnie the Pooh or the Yogi Bear show on the lost TV.
🤔What about Paddington & The Hair Bear Bunch 😁
Don't show them Star Wars though, them Wookies be giving them ideas.
I think they are watching The Berenstine Bears. I mean Berenstien Bears.
@@rick9977015 I figure they play that scene from Revenant on loop
@@rick9977015 no, no, no. You got it all wrong, it's the Berenstain bears... 😂
Hey Y’all,
Just wanted to clear up some confusion.
First thing, I didn’t say Xiaomi was an obscure brand. They are everywhere and obviously I’ve heard of them.
Secondly, I know I got scammed, the only reason I didn’t cancel the order the moment the guy asked for more money for shipping, was for the content. That shit is dodgy as hell. The only reason I reacted positively to the Xiaomi was because it was from a reputable brand. To be honest, I wasn’t even really expecting to get a TV at all.
Hope this clears it up. Loooove you, bye (edit was to respond to concern in video)
Love you too
Hey Dawid :) I think my neighbour stole it. They keep stealing my packages wouldn't be surprised to find they took your package too :P
Are you saying I didn't win a free gift!?!?
This has shattered my entire universe.
dawid getting more recognitions even bots bother to be alongside you, love you too
I would be a funny video idea if u tracked down the other tv
Fyi, xiaomi makes extremely good TVs , but the one he bought is a extremely budget one that costs no more than 180 usd. He got ripped off big time.
But no DVB-T2
IME as someone living in Asia: Xiaomi makes a LOT of different things with various tiers of quality (vacuum cleaners, washing machines I think, besides phones etc). While Samsung manages this well enough it feels like Xiaomi is spreading itself so thin that support for those products is effectively nonexistent at times.
@@mixedup5858 dvb-t2 is present in all new xiaomi tv.
$180 is for the 720p version cmiiw, im surprise this one is 1080p on 32 inch, rather rare.
I have a Xiaomi phone, and my last phone was also Xiaomi. Both have been fairly good, apart from some software glitches and your standard Android Alma hauntings from time to time :P Good build quality, very high tier hardware, lots of memory and RAM, decent camera, good battery life. For $250 it’s insane how much performance you get if you don’t go with ”name brands” ^^
Thats a new scam going on, it's not that they send to a wrong address, they send you a wrong tracking number and try to drag dispute process. Look at sellers rating, bunch of scammers popping out lately
Happened to me a while ago with a cheap x79 motherboard. Seller then tried to say oh it's just taking a while in the mail will you accept $1 compensation. I said no let alliexpress deal with it got my monies back and order with another seller.
Happened to me on Amazon as well. Thankfully I got refunded.
I got a plain old bait and switch the last time I tried buying off AliExpress. He refused it saying I didn’t provide the original Chinese tracking number, which was underneath the glued on international one. Had to steam the label to get to it.
a good trick to avoid the scams : get your ass off the couch and go outside to your next electronics shop and buy physically the thing with real money like the ancients from the last century did , it's not THAT difficult , Duh !
@@offlinegamer6756 I order stuff from Chine well over 10yrs now, Ive never been scammed or left without my package.
Not all order clothes and TV's, I for instance buy only electronic parts like microcontrollers, sensors, resistors, connectors, led chips...
Buy that in any other country than China and you'll pay 5-10X more because you're smart and we're not
Just wanted to say there's definitely some relevance to having this sort of content. I live in a small condo and I don't watch TV much but there are some use cases where I would like to watch something in 4K so a budget 43' tv is something I've been looking at. Thanks Dawid.
In that case I mostly just get a 2nd hand TV.
Depending where you live, but so many people here have like their "old TV" (read; 2-5 years old max) and got a new one with their new internet/service provider or something silly.
I picked up an Insignia (Best Buy) 43" 4K Smart TV for under $300. Currently on sale for $250. I've had it for a few years and I have no complaints.
A 1080p or 1440p TV would be very cheap
4k 43 inch is damn near pointless unless you sit a few feet away. Also budget 4k is garbage tier get a 1080 p 43 inch
A Visio from Walmart will do in a pinch.
It's amazing how five years ago Aliexpress was the place to get anything cheaper than North America, but the last couple of years have changed it both for price and shipping to the point where it is usually more expensive than our options over here.
I only go there these days for random little things, like parts for refurbishing old Nintendo handheld consoles or an inexpensive component cable for my Gamecube...
I only use the site for 400 series axillary temperature probes, it's the only place where you can get them for a reasonable price.
My man that xiaomi TV is worth like 200 Canadian dollar in India and cat also get even lower with discount. It pretty much bang for the buck
That price would makes it way more worth it, would even tempt me to get one for my mom to replace the tv some my siblings gifted her last year that wasn't even 1080p.
The price would be really good for it. That’s why I said, no point shipping one of these to Canada, but if you can get it for $200. That’s amazing!
Its a Xiaomi - isnt that a reputable brand? They do make quite a lot of mid tier household products of adequate quality - not too shabby but also nowhere near the high tier.
I have their router, works nice now for several years already
Yeah, I didn’t say they weren’t reputable. 😅
@@jpf1978 more like e-waste, their Xiaomi 12 / 12 Pro have a problem with steam condensation behind camera lenses, overpriced piece of garbage
1:36 As a no screen TV user, I can confirm that Dawid is missing out on all the benefits of a no screen TV
Yep, I have a couple lying around the house... But we call them radios lol 😆
Not gaming, not watching the latest Star Trek. I guess you just like living in 1853?
@@SomeOldGamers No no. You see, with no screen TV’s all there is to comprehend is sound quality. With all screen TV’s, there to many layers to process: What’s happening on screen, how it looks, colors, how smooth it is. It’s just a hassle.
I can imagine the old designer at Apple banging on about the "weight reduction" and "the lack of a screen isn't a bug, it's a feature because you can upgrade"
imagin-o-vision - why deal with the virtues/faults of a real picture when you can just imagine what it would look like
I am simple man, I see Dawid, I watch Dawid, I press like on Dawid.
Then I press like on his good comments 👍
I would also try turning off HDR on that game if it was on in the first place
Especially on cheap tvs the HDR will make the picture darker, SDR can look better in some instances.
Plus HDR on games are hit or miss in the first place no matter what.
HDR on any sub 1000 nits display without local dimming is a scam.
@@MandoMTL so LG OLEDS are a scam? Lol no
Shouldn't Xbox detect no HDR on the TV in the first place?
@@pogtuber5146 he may mean in terms of led backlit TV's, edge lit and direct lit are kinda trash in my opinion, I feel like 800 nits a good enough. Most experts I've seen say 600 nits is bare minimum to consider a panel "real" hdr. And I was more or less referring to the Hisense that tv has HDR, as poorly represented as it is on the screen with it's terrible contrast the Xbox would still detect it as HDR panel because it technically is.

The "shipping costs more now that you've already paid for everything" is a common AliExpress scam. You're not supposed to pay them more, you just encouraged scammers instead of getting a refund like you're supposed to.
Well done, two scams in one video. The Psychic Friends Network would be proud.
You can get the Xiaomi tv for 140000 in India which is like 200 dollars and it's pretty good for that price
Not gonna lie, but a BEAR TAX sounds like a thing they'd have in Canada -- along with an Apology-Fee and a Politeness Tariff.
Gotta say I love the videos but especially when Linode is a sponsor. Gotta be the only sponsor I enjoy watching ever and its now become a bit of a catchphrase in the house due to the amazing Dawid delivery. Linooooooooooooooooooodddddddddeee! Feels good.
Dawid, you are the only tech reviewer that offers an "all senses" review of different tech items. The inclusion of tech smells always makes me laugh. Thanks for the content, keep it up!
Don't forget LTT.
The smell is important. 😂
Finally Aliexpress content! I join this channel because the pc's you buy from Aliexpress.
Hey dawid! 👋 I’ve always been curious about tech channels that do reviews like this when you buy a brand new product to put it up against another product do you usually keep them, send them back, or donate them or?
That bear part was unnecessarily too detailed 😂
I do love it when your videobisbsponsored by, Linode! You just know its giing ti be a great video!!
I've never been scammed on Aliexpress - but I only buy from reputable merchants.
actually Xiaomi and Hisense Smart TVs here are same popular as Samsung or Oneplus, you can buy them at normal electro stores or computer stores
If those bears insist on holding that TV hostage then I will have to call Liam Neeson. He has a particular set of skills.
It made me so happy seeing how excited Dawid was when he made the TV switch to english!
US/Canadian and Asian Hisense TV always look like a great value for money options, it sucks that here in Europe we get a significant downgrade. They add a letter at the end of the version name so that people watch US or Asian reviews think they are getting something while actually we get the hand-me-down version. We get worse panels and even no Android/Google TV, instead of that their rage inspiring OS.
One thing that comes to my mind about this video that I think You should also do - connect both to internet and update firmware on both of them. Sometimes with these TV`s it does change things a lot.
but then that means connecting your tv to the internet (especially when it's a xiaomi tv lol)
@@latrans and.... ? what`s wrong with that and whats the difference between connecting for example Samsung tv from connecting Xiaomi tv? I basically live in a smart house and among other electronics I also have a few xiaomi gadgets connected to my home network. I would rather be concerned about connecting Huawei after their ban in US fo spying allegations ;) (not as still i think it was big BS and I would not hesitate) the above comment was for all TV`s and the difference after firmaware update, despite who produced it.
@@dronner1 oh i’m not saying any other brand would be good to connect to the internet either, it’s just much safer to keep smart devices away from your home network. if you think the amount of spying that goes on with a lot of smart devices is BS tho, good luck to you my friend lol
Update firmware, yes. But then disconnect from Internet. I was reading that Vizio (another maker of cheap TVs) makes more money selling info about their user's viewing habits than they make selling the hardware.
2:10 "Made of melted down bits of Blockbuster" 🤣 You are so funny, man!
Ooof.. I can literally get a better TV at my local grocery store for half the price. 🤣
Skyworth or bolova?
I recently upgraded from a 32" 1080p Samsung tv to a 43" TCL TV. Once I got the colors right (HDR sucked on PC) and got used to the backlighting on the edges, I was pretty happy with it. Walked into a target 5 min away, picked up the tv, paid $280 USD and put it in my room. So far it was a good decision. Love playing games on my PC with it now that I can use 2k/4k resolutions
My experience with the 4k TCL has been kinda bad.
The TV crashes frequently, and the HDR introduces some bizarre issues with 1080p signals, primarily a massive green/purple fullscreen glitch. Imagine running an ega game on a 43" TV with 4 colors. Green, purple, darker purple, and scalding red. Now imagine that at literal random, switching to any resolution other than 4k 60hz causes this glitch, regardless of source.
It's frustrating.
Oh and the "no buttons, cheap speakers" thing kinda sucks too.
Bought mine for $160 on Amazon on sale...
TCL are made in China. Quality control is terrible. You might get a good one, but probably not. Their backlights are known to be faulty. Visio is the best TV when on a budget.
Haha I had that crap happen to me once when I bought on Aliexpress, the seller asked me for additional 50$ for shipping, I told him to shove the order where the sun don't shine, opened a dispute, got my $$ back, bought from a different seller, no problems.
Wow! It's great to see the TV is all screen compared to the no screen ones you normally see! 😂 Comments like this is why I keep watching your vids!
Love the cameo by Xi. Brightness varies so much from manufacturer's model to model, the 75" Hisense I presently own is bright enough to function as a tanning bed and is great for a sun room.
What you did was buy a TV. Then get scammed for 200 dollars by a scammer. That's how that works. Stop allowing them to scam people by buying into their scams
You cant fight the bears they love picnic baskets and TV's. I cant believe a normal person wouldnt say no thanks that makes the TV out of my price range and look for something else.
The only reason I didn’t cancel the order was for content. The moment a seller messages and asks for money it’s clearly hella dodgy.
Brightness really seems to be an issue for cheaper TVs these days.
Probably the single biggest issue with the real cheap ones.
I think this calls for adding LED's to the "cheap TV" that was in no way really cheap.
other issue is screen ghosting (what Dawid described as blurriness), I have a Viewsonic 40" 1080p TV that is totally not suitable for high fps games but works ok as a TV, but my 10 year old 32" Sony Bravia works like a champ for games if you can ignore the backlight bleeding it has developed over the years
My 8 year old Samsung will provide a retina scorching brightness level.
I would have appreciated a breakdown of the refresh rates supported by the different TVs. I've used a number of HiSense 4k TVs that will only do 30 FPS progressive at 4k, while quite a few 1920x1080 TVs will do up to 60 fps.
That bear swooping the tv got me! 🤣🤣🤣
"delivered in Ontario"
Sounds like the 'we shipped it, here's the tracking number' scam. By the time the dust from the paperwork cross-talk settles, the seller will be long gone with the cash.
Has that seller disappeared from Aliexpress?
send the hounds after him🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thats not how it works with Aliexpress... Aliexpress holds the payment until buyer confirms it has been received or it times out. Buyer can dispute it and get refunded.

I've never purchased from Ali Express because their website seems kind of shady. Xiaomi quality really, really let up over the years. When they first popped up on the tech radar they really had some nice budged hardware.
This is also true for their non consumer tech they sell under different brand names.

I recently got myself LG 43UP81003LR, and I'm surprised to see a cheaper HiSense of the same size seems to have more connecting ports there... which is actually a problem for me since I use component input for Wii sometimes, and needed to get a converter from Amazon, and if I want to connect a laptop or something I need to disconnect something since other two HDMI ports are taken by other consoles on my LG... I can only hope that my TV makes up for the lacking connections with better screen quality(It has a VA display... so almost definitely has better contrast and brightness than HiSense... but pays for it with horrible viewing angles that forced me to get a long wall mount that can rotate it for me XD), but it's not like I can compare XD

Hisense fanboy!! I've bought nothing but Hisense and have had great experience with 3 tvs now. The first one got water in it from a flood on my second floor and still worked for over a year before it stopped working. I have a 58inch and recently a a6g 50inch for my bedroom. Absolutely nothing but good things to say!! Also you have to mess around with the settings to make the a6g "pop" but still a solid tv!!
You've earned my thumps up just for that blockbuster joke. Thank you.
Xiaomi products are really good , especially when it comes to their phones, AMOLED Display and a Snapdragon SoC for just $200? its a sweet deal for me, currently eyeing on the new "Redmi Note 11"❤
Bump it to note 11 pro 5g. Way better experience.
Two things. One: YOU PAID WHAT for a 32" 1080p TV! Thats insanity. I can think of a few other words but since I like you I'll keep em to myself. Two: That Hisense will never make it to its second birthday. They have TERRIBLE powersupplies. Sold about 5 to clients cause they looked amazing at a great price. One failed in the first year. All four of the remaining died before 20 months or so. The one that died under warranty, took Hisense MONTHS to repair. By that time the client had replaced it. The Hisense contracted repair guy called it complete garbage.
People think they are saving money skimping and saving 200 or so dollars compared to a good tv of the same size.
News flash, they aren't. Do not buy hisense, rca, coby, element, skyworth, bolova, etc.
I TOTALLY get your point. It amazes me how many trashy Chinese consumer electronic products are now sold in North America. I would understand if those were meant to be sold on third world countries (like my own) where most people simply cannot afford a reputable brand, and / or it's much cheaper and easier for the the vendor to import such crappy items. That's why I'm sticking to my 42" Panasonic LCD from over a decade ago. Good products stay good
Those were my thoughts too... I figured he got the TVs for like under $100 lol I got my 65" LG 4k LCD ThinQ set for $600 last year... I bet that same LG tv is around what he paid for each of these crap sets today.

it's pretty much the same as the Hisense, just a better panel
Rumour has it that the CCP are entirely funded by Dawid Ali Express videos
Your content is so much fun to watch :-)
You should try activating the PC mode on those TVs. Some TVs have a toggle in the menu others have it hidden like my Samsung set. If you have no obvious option the try relabelling the HDMI channels to "PC" and see if you get a change in the fine tweaking menu. On my TV for example it gives me full access to all the colour temp controls so I adjusted out the orange hue that TVs are set up with so they look OK in shop displays. PC mode is the lowest latency mode on a TV, lower than game mode.

Yeah, watching your channel on my 43" TCL 4K Roku TV right now. Lots to be said for an inexpensive 4k TV as a main monitor!

Oh shot. You live in Vancouver?! Might see ya around sometime! Neat
You totally need to have a ASMR peel segment on things like this ;)
ive noticed that buying a huge (like 50 inch) tv in 4k is actually cheaper than one of smaller size and if u want a monitor in 4k it costs like 3 50 inch 4k tvs for some reason
Monitor are expensive cause of the high response rate and panel quality .
I've had this twice with aliexpress that suddenly something is marked delivered in some weird place, raising a complaint gets you your money back, but it's a pain in the proverbial one.
"size is not the only thing that matters" amen to that Dawid 👌
Dawid, we need more “what does Anna think” in you’re videos
!!! IMPORTANT: Do not change Sharpness from center (e.g. 50 if range is 0-100) with digital (discrete pixel) programming !!! It's often only for analog. Early LCD TVs used the analog circuits for HD CRT TVs (yes, they existed) and did not disable Sharpness in LCD sets, so moving Sharpness away from center in either direction blurred the picture using Analog methods. (one being the famous name I can't remember for adjusting the electron beams. It's some matrix-like math, I think, but in an analog way).
Thiddy, Zaomi, this just gets better every time.
Got a 55" 4K display model Hisense with built in Roku for less than £300 and I love it, for the price to features ratio they pretty much can't be beat
Melted dwn bits of blockbuster with cretacious connector and a thiiiiaaack caboose....lol! So funny Dawid, love it! I guess the takeaway is don't buy tvs from aliexpress unless ur in turkmanastan!
Se gou saam maybru, shy-owe-me! XD keep it kwaai bru!
Does either of these have NTSC channels 3 & 4? My TCL did, so I could plug in my 80s game consoles and VCRs.
Knowing Dawid and noticing the "Dolby Vision" logo on the HiSense TV I assume there was some misconfiguration (we saw you disabling and then re-enabling power saving mode) that causes the HDR capable HiSense to be dimmer than the (non-HDR?) chinese ripoff commonly known as Xiaomi.
Regarding the color accuracy: Were these out of the box measurements or after calibrating the TVs to be as color accurate as possible?
I bought 32” Mi TV just a while ago. Mainly because of price (s$260 ~ 240cad ~ 190usd), perfect size for my use case, and “bezelless” design. My version booted up with English as default language and everything so far has been working nicely. I use the tv basically only for watching CZcams/prime video thus gaming capabilities were not concern. Sound is pretty crappy but soundbar with woofer was on shopping list before I even bought the tv.
For my use case has been pretty perfect
what prebuilt gaming pc do you recommend with a budget of around $1,500?
Fun Fact : The Xiaomi TV showed in this video only costs 220 CAD (13,000 INR) in INDIA
I bet that other TV will show up. I use Aliexpress a lot and it’s common to have shipped to the Toronto area and have it reshippedtovyour home. I wouldn’t recommend AE for any big ticket item though. For small stuff like electronics, keyboard parts, etc it’s great. Look for sellers with lots of orders and good reviews.
Oh thank God it was a 32 inch TV, I was worried that you weren't going to say thiddy in this video 😂
