The First Omen manages to serve as a well made prequel as well as an unsettling and creepy horror film in its own right. It takes awhile to get going, and the very end bends backwards pretty far to create setup for potential follow-ups, but the brunt of the movie is very strong, with lead Nell Tiger Free and director Arkasha Stevenson both cementing themselves as stars on the rise.

They are industry pleasers. This movie is not horror. It's full of drama. The whole Hollywood is like that now. They make slowish crap movies in the name of horror. Movies like Insidious, Autopsy of Jane Doe, Sinister, Ouija, The Conjuring,Oculus are deliberately not being made bcz that's the real horror. They don't want us to enjoy a movie in the cinema and get the value for our money. So They make those slowish crap movies like Smile, Hereditary, Talk to Me which don't have horror throughout the movie. Boring, dull.

The full quote is "one Hell of a calling card", and one could say that The Omen by definition is Hell's calling card.

the Immaculate ending just cuts to black,might at well just show what happened 😂
Not to mention that the ending of The First Omen breaks the continuity of the original movies plus it makes an excuse to make more sequels.

The only negative for me were the nightmare/artsy shots the movie tried to do, they don't fit with the Omen franchise for me. Also they changed the ending and I'm not sure how it would fit with the 70s movie.
