I love how commenters on here act like they know more than Biffle, who makes his living utilizing this style of fishing. Guys like him and Denny Brauer are flipping and pitching experts, so if they have had better success catching fish on 25lb fluro, then I'm not going to question that. Sure, a lot of other pros use braid. A lot of fishing techniques can be used differently by different anglers and get good results. If you don't know who Tommy Biffle is then I would question how much you actually know about bass fishing (at least here in the US). Just my 2 cents...

so many here question the pros... LOL.. remember, they do this for a living... until you have spent some time in the boat with a few of the pros (I have), you wont understand... not only can they pitch 40-60 feet, they can put it in a Dixie cup... its truly amazing to watch... the ability of these guys (Tommy Biffle is absolutely on of the best) at finding fish and pitching accurately will blow your mind...

Why do people negatively critique a guy who gets paid to do what he does? If the man prefers flouro over braid and is dragging the fish out of the cover it's obviously not that big of a deal.

This guy has forgotten more than you braid lovers will ever know. There are definite reasons for using mono, fluoro and braided lines. Braided line is what most people use because its the popular thing to do. Its a fall back for people that dont know the difference between the lines and when to use them. I hate braided line. You guys cant carry this guys tackle box let alone question him on line choice.

6'9" - 7'6" Heavy or Medium-Heavy depending on the rod manufacturer and the size of the person throwing it. If you are 6'6" tall, then an 8' rod may feel just right too. Just buy whatever feels the best. They'll all catch fish.

Floro is very abrasion resistant and invisible in the water. I don’t like braid in less I’m in some really nasty dirty water. I’ve gotten into the habit of checking my line for nicks every 10 or 15 casts and and have been real impressed with the floro

He isn't really flipping the heart of the cover so it isn't really necessary. If he was going deep in the middle of the trees and brush then it would probably work better.
