The best movies were made before modern technology when film makers were searching for great actors for movies and Gregory Peck stands out as one of the greatest.
Gregory Peck was so many good things. He was a magnificent man of great integrity. And a magnificent actor. He was also my hero. They don't make them like him anymore. I love you Gregory. And we all miss you. Very much.

Yesterday, A young lady called to her son, "Atticus, dont run off !" I instantly thought of Gregory Peck, in the movie, To Kill A Mockingbird.... I had not heard that name in over 50 years, and I smiled instantly and told her there in the Grocery Store that " I haven't heard that name in a lot of years.. and it's a fine name he's got." She replied, thank you it was my fathers name.. I'd almost bet, that he was named after the Atticus , that Millions of US know... Thank you Jerry for the Most Perfect of timing to put this Superb video up for us! It was fantastic!

I loved the movie and the book…it was the first book I ever read cover to cover I just couldn’t put it down. I own a copy to this day will read it again.
Jerry, as always: spectacular! You are the perfectionist and tis one made me cry. Peck was not only a great actor, but a gentleman humble and living what he believed!
Wonderful post, Jerry. Being 65, I grew up seeing the man's films, from dramas, westerns & thrillers to his light comedies. Many fond memories, even of those who did impersonations of him. While each of us have our favorites, the film that had the greatest impact on me was "Captain Horatio Hornblower."
Thank you, Jerry. He was a great man, great actor. Enjoyed this video so much. Please keep making them. I'm 80, and haven't been to a movie theatre in probably 25 years. But if they showed some of his movies again. I'd be there.
Once again Jerry you have drawn me in to your wonderful tasteful documentary. The way you speak gives us time to absorb what you're saying. I hope 2023 brings you good health & many blessings.
Mr. Skinner you did an amazing job on this wonderful actor's life. Gregory Peck was one of my all-time favorite actors. I was also honored to meet you and your lovely wife a few weeks back at the nursing home in Iuka! My husband and I always are thrilled when we get a notification that you have a new documentary. May God bless you and your family.
Mr. Skinner, you make actors and actresses that I am not really too interested in, seem to make me interested in a new way. After listening to you speaking about them I find that I must look for their films and I now see them as interesting actors who play really great parts. Now I have a lot of fun catching up to do. Thank you very much sir.
As always, Jerry Skinner's work is well researched, and very thoughtfully presented; if there is indeed an after-life, he'll be the honored guest at a "Dean Martin MAN OF THE HOUR 'Roast', with Don Rickles' only possible comment being "oh, c'mon, can't you give me someone who at least cheats at cards?" When family's of late celebrities come across a "Jerry Skinner Presents" tribute, I hope that at least a few of them make the effort to contact Mr. Skinner - to comment directly to him, as his is some of the best work out there! My favorite Gregory Peck moment didn't involve Gregory Peck! That moment took place during the transitioning of Abe Vigoda's "Detective Phillip K. Fish" from "Barney Miller" to the Barney Miller spinoff "Fish", and involved the Steve Landesberg-portrayed character "Detective-Sergeant Arthur P. Dietrich's" interaction with the character portrayed by Barry Gordon, "Charlie", who noticed the extreme similarity "Dietrich's" voice had - to that of the long time - Screen Legend.
One of your best, Jerry! I love your bios of legendary stars of our classic American films. A few little mistakes, though, it's Charles Bickford, not Charles Pickford, Chuck Connors, not Chuck Connor, and Jean Peters could not possibly have starred in 1958's The Big Country, as by that time she had married Howard Hughes and retired from acting; A Man Called Peter, released in 1955, was her last feature film. I think you meant Jean Simmons. I'm a Southerner myself, so I understand and relate to your wonderful drawl. My late mother was from middle Tennessee and often got a bit mixed up here and there (she'd say "punkin" for pumpkin, and "purnish" for punish - just the tip of the iceberg!) But it made her all the more lovable for us all. Keep doing what you're doing, Jerry, and don't ever change!
One of my favorite actors. Hard to say which of his movies I like best, but "The Big Country" always comes to mind when he is mentioned. Maybe it's that scene when he and Jean Simmons are at the Hannasey canyon and Rufus asks him why he's come for her: She looks at him and he looks at her and they realize they're both in love with each other. I'm still a sucker for scenes like that one. Of course I've always been in love with Jean Simmons, so there's that too.
