  • Cummins L10G & Allison B400R6 transmission. Riding with a driver friend on the 2 line. We were leapfrogging with another Neoplan on the same line in Downtown LA. Recorded back in 2003

    The voice that says stop requested is the same voice that Albuquerque New Mexico buses had when they first got their system installed

    They might be 12 yrs old, but ask any MTA operator and mechanic and they will agree on one thing. Best buses in current fleet in terms of performance and reliability,

    IDK why, the 1995-1997's sound better than the 1998's for some reason (IMO). That brake pumping was funny, I think he set the low air alarm off. XDDDD

    I think you're wrong in a couple parts. The NABI 45CLFWs ( 8100-8359 ) will be replacing the remaining TMCs and the 1995/96 Neoplans first. Metro also has an option order for 740 more NABI compobuses which would replace the remaining Neoplans, NewFlyers, and whatever. Also Metro has placed an order for CNG NABI 32LFWs to replace the thomases, blue birds, el dorados, etc.

    these buses have about 3 or 4 more years left on them. MTA runs their buses a little more longer than the FTAs recommended service life.
