This is harsh and painful treatment...and at times I had to look away, but at this point in my life, it encourages me to share the belief that there is a better way...I had actually received one of the shown methods for changing my horse's behavior...and I refused, believing there was a better way...and there is...it starts with love that proves what is possible and gives a voice to others...
MsDother what a powerful and true statement that you made! In making this video we were sickened by what we found, much of which we chose not to show as it was far worse than what was in this video. So many people in the industry have their eyes closed or choose to look the other way! We’re trying to be a voice of change for the horse! Thanks
It sure is, and I had a really hard time making this video... It left me in tears many times... It is so hard to believe people can do these things. I appreciate you sharing your story, and I am glad to hear you found the right path, and chose love. Horses understand that! I do hope this gives a voice to not only the horses but their owners as well. I do believe that when faced with an option, most people will choose the right path. Thank you for commenting! They just go along, because unfortunately, they view it as the norm. (they see it in their barn, at the shows, and when nobody is paying attention, they begin stop paying attention themselves) Join the movement to improve education for horse owners everywhere. There are so many kind and thoughtful horse professionals that put the horse first, our goal is to promote their message, and spread the word.

Went to one FEI dressage show, volunteered to help out, was appointed a steward for one of the show rings. This ring was near the warm up ring, and I got an eye full. It was the last FEI show I attended, I concentrated on artistic dressage clinics with the late Mark Russell after that. *Much* more satisfying, for me & the horses.

I think it is because it is such a hard video to watch, and some people do not make it to the end where we talk about our mission.
All tie downs and noseband that stop a horse opening it’s mouth should be banned. Riding would have to get a whole lot better then.
If you want more viewers, and you KNOW most of us are on the same page as you - WHY do you show such horrible abuse? I didn't even watch this... the first second made me SICK! Why would I want to watch more from you?!
Because these things are real, and these types of things happen to horses around the world. Often times the more money that is involved i.e. (The racing and showing footage) The worse it can be for the horse. This is the last thing that we would ever want for horses so we made this video to wake people up! Through education we can motivate REAL change! Sorry this offended you, but the horse needs a voice!

Julia Shashi I do hear your point, this video wasn’t created for people that are already on board with humane and and mindful horsemanship, but rather for those eyes who have not been opened yet. The end of the video has a meaningful message and perhaps that point was missed. Thank you for your comments.
Hi Julia, Paula here...The horses need a voice, and eyes need to be opened! Creating this video opened my eyes, and it makes me all the more dedicated to our mission. There are so many amazing trainers out there that put the horse first, I am glad to be promoting that message, and helping others find quality trainers more easily!! Online learning is changing the game, allowing you to access amazing people that put the horse first even if they are 1/2 way across the world. When people are in barns where this treatment occurs, oftentimes they do not understand that there is a different way. They just go along, because unfortunately, they view it as the norm. (they see it in their barn, at the shows, and when nobody is paying attention, they begin not to as well) Fast forward the video to 57 where you will see the true purpose of the video.
