I love this and it's perfect timing! I have been invited to a birthday party on Saturday afternoon for a lady in my Tai Chi class. She will be 85 yrs old and is just so sweet! I have made her a few birthday cards as a gift and I will now add a couple of these cute notebooks! I don't know her really well so something like cards and notebooks are something she can use! Very cute quick project. I suffer from ADD and anxiety and as much as I love crafting sometimes it’s so hard for me to even sit and concentrate to make the notebooks that I love. Quick little projects help me with the desire to create but doesn’t frustrate me because of all the time I need to sit making it.

How fun! I love the idea of using them as a giveaway at a craft fair when someone makes a purchase. I sometimes drop a bookmark in as an extra gift; last week I had a wonderful chat with someone buying some cards from me at a craft fair about how we both making journals, so I offered her a cluster group I had made that was on the table for sale. She was so thrilled she hugged me! Hugs are a wonderful thank you from customers when you go above and beyond.

I love this. It's a great way to use up your 12x12 solid color papers, especially if you have a ton of them like I do (I have two small bins...lol). I can make a bunch of these for any occasion and keep them on hand just in case I need a gift for someone or for the holidays for my office family. These pair well with one of your paper purses. An easy gift for any season, any reason anyone! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I hope you have a great holiday!🎉

This is a great quick project! I will try this soon. I found the .50 cent composition books at Target just like you said, Sherry! I had to really hunt though, since the $3.99 ones were all front and center! I already made the cutest travel journal from one.
I should go ahead and tell you how much you have inspired me to paper craft! I bought the exact same finger blade, emboss/scoring tool and envelope cutting tool that I saw you use. I am enjoying paper crafting so much! Thank you!

I would give that a try if I was a sewer, I think it would work, the paper can’t be as dense as denim,

Punch 2 little holes and push twine thru to bind it!
Sew spine using a needle with thread or floss to secure the spine. No sewing machine needed.
