I'm getting ready to do this today on my 77 Chinook as soon as my Weber shows up, this came in clutch!

this video came in clutch, I forgot where the brake booster vacuum went to in the intake manifold and you had just the right angle for me to see where it went. Thanks big dawg

I’ve got a 77’ and got a 32/36 in tonight and had a HORRID stock carb on it. This video was perfect and made the swap make much more sense with the little details. Good video!

Love the chinook, I have a 77. I put the exact Weber on my 20r and it was a huge improvement. Just swapped in a 22r and swapped the Weber over. Not running as great as it did on the 20r. Still trying to figure out the issues.

    👋 Ray.....Lindalee here.......
    Question:
    about my Chinook again....
When you put the thermostat gasket in do U put thermostat with little pop up air hole towards windshield n & then gasket or do U put gasket then put thermostat ontop of gasket?
👌 ran my battery down, can not time it myself anyway, but, still have to flush gunk I think after putting new gasket on water pump.
Have a place that will time it & adjust carb, but; they will have to charge battery. Only $100 they said, then; tell me if it needs anything else.
    Question:
I saw this stuff COIL CLEANER a guy used for air conditioner coils & thought buying the stuff spraying on radiator in Chinook. To clean it. Although I have with hose looks OK outside, might be loaded gunk inside.
Please tell me what U think.
    Respected,
    💋😘Lindalee

      @rwallaceiv  Před rokem

Do you have over sized tires? that could cause it, or your front shocks are so tired and weak that they sag, perhaps check alignment, and if you have 2wd then the front can be adjusted with height by adjusting the torsion bars.

    👋 My CHINOOK is 1977.
It ran good. But, I waited t replace water pump slow leak.
I bought a gasket had to be BRAVE.
Cleaned out reservoir, flushed radiator all clean running out of engine..
Is there. A air pump to keep the engine cool?
Or is it the fan & radiator?
    I put reservoir green ANTIFREEZE,
as both O'Reilly & Autozone said too.
It runs now new water pump gasket used old pump, cleaned it, spinning good.
    It warmed up, burped
Then it chugga lugged after I stepped on gas pedal.
    HELP!

Chug a lug after stepping on gas pedal could be fuel delivery, or clogged carb, have you addressed those issues before continuing? And perhaps a timing,? I made a video on how to time the engine. Go check it out
