Great boat. I'm partial to Fountains. I use to build engines for them back in the 80's, Supercharged big block GM motors/ Mercury. with B&M blowers.. Got a 10 meter Fountain to go 106 MPH back in 1989
Congratulations that is a beautiful boat, Enjoy it and use it well! I’m sure I do not need to tell you this but just adding horsepower will not make your boat go faster, You will have to either re-gear your drives or most likely install a set of new props!
Boat looks beautiful for an 89 check that transom out really really well I’m sure you know how the meter works I’ve seen some complete horror shows the The stringers about 10 inches from theTransom right where the drives Bolt in I seen some boats that look brand new and the guys ended up putting them out it wasn’t cost-effective to fix you sound like you know what you’re doing again beautiful boat just curious what you paid for it my wife is from Ottawa just wondering if it’s worth going up there to find a nice clean one like yours

What was the total length of the boat and trailer to fit in the Garage? Thanks I've got about 38.5 to fit 1 in my shop.

I don't think that you need to stay away from any particular Fountain year or model as long as it's been lovingly maintenance, which most of them are.
