    Hey Kies. Just a note to say CSF Europe used my car to test this development unit on.
    The latest revision (the one you installed) works great on track. Oil temps get really high really quickly on track with the standard unit.

    I did the same with my 2015 335i definitely an overlooked upgrade. I went with the ER Competition Series OiL Cooler with the upgraded Goodrich AN Fittings in Black Anodize and High End Goodrich Nylon Braided Oil Lines. I definitely recommend this for people considering tracking their car, if not the CSF oil cooler is fine.

    Just today I raced a Porsche on the German Autobahn at 200-260kph and my oil temp was at around 130°C when outside temp was below 15°C. Just imagine what those speeds will do to my oil when it's summer and reaching 30°+ outside! So I immediately checked back to this video, because I think I'm going to do this upgrade rather sooner than later!

    How much of a pain is to install an oil cooler on a n63tu3 if it doesn't have one? I have the space for it but no clue what it would take to retrofit the rare 'cooling pack/motorsport package'.

  • @grburnham1234234
    @grburnham1234234 Před 2 lety

    Do you have any info on the heat exchanger under the coolant reservoir? Mines dumping oil into the cooling system. Is it pretty straight forward? Pull it out, put it in, prime the oil system, bleed the cooling system?

    • @jarodvincent6199
      @jarodvincent6199 Před rokem

      I had this problem on my 235i and yes you replace it then do many coolant flushes until all the bad coolant is gone. I realize this was commented over 1 year ago but I hope you got everything figured out. It's a pain to diagnose and even worse to flush if it gets bad enough

      First used wetter water in your coolant and make sure you take off your valve cover top with the insulation for stock cars that's all you need to do even if you go to stage two and it's probably best to try running 5W-40 oil

      I have a 14 435i M sport as well. I’m curious what your oil temps are? Mine stay either right before 250 or right at 250. Ask a couple different bmw specialist and they said it’s normal and where it should be. The manual for the car states the same. But I’m also seeing many ppl on forums etc stating their temps are 10-20 degrees lower. I’m in LA where it’s warmer, I’m assuming ambient temperature plays a part.

      Not only does it keep your oil cooler and last longer. It also keeps your engine temp cooler preventing it from going into limp mode and preventing power loss.
