  • Samson Expedition XP106w Rechargeable Portable PA - First Look
In this video, I take my first look at the Samson Expedition XP106w battery powered portable PA system. As I move back in to playing live music, especially acoustic music, I needed a solution for amplifying my acoustic guitar and vocals, and the XP106 seems to fit the bill.
The device boasts a built-in 4 channel mixer, USB wireless microphone, Bluetooth connectivity and up to 20 hours of continuous use thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery.
Subscribe to the channel if you would like to see the XP106w in action, as I will be using it and testing in some real world test videos in the very near future.

Thanks my friend. Yes, it’s not all about the gear, but sometimes you do need some gear to get the job done.

Nice looking product. Samson makes good stuff. This is exciting that you are planning on moving out of the studio into the public! Good luck on your journey and try to share what you can as I'm sure it will be interesting to others.

Thanks my friend. Yes, whilst it can be scary I’ve really been thankful every time I push myself out of my comfort zone. I will indeed share more as I progress.

Awesome! Yes, it seems to really generate some volume in my initial tests. Looking forward to getting stuck in and putting it through its paces. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Hi Pete, happy for you mate you should have a lot of fun with that thing.you mentioned backing tracks ! Could you do a video on how to make a simple backing track for playing guitar to ? And also how to use it.. by now and take care..greetings from “clueless Brian “ 🤣

Haha! Mate, you're far from clueless. You clearly know how to write a rational and positive comment on a CZcams video, so you're at least out of the bottom 20%. 😅
I'm experimenting with backing tracks at the moment in fact, so should have some videos in the words soon.

I'm not sure how it is in Australia, but these portable PAs are extremely popular here in Mexico.

Yeah, a lot of buskers use the Roland Cube portable amps but I don’t see so many PAs like this. Maybe I’ll start a trend!? 😊

excuse my ignorance..does this take electric/acoustic guitars...effects pedals looper acoustic .drums .. vocals
The whole kit Kaboodle and the kitchen sink?
does it over load....Will I blow it up?
How does it differ from the Roland cube street ex?
can I build layers of sounds

Hey there. I used this for several years and it did everything you’ll need. I now use the Roland Cube Street EX which I prefer. czcams.com/video/8REcQsIycsE/video.html
