Check out the Meepo Voyager! A “premium” E-skate with high speeds and a long-lasting battery. Priced just under $1000 is it worth upgrading from a budget board or is it overpriced?
In this video, we unbox and set up the Meepo Voyager, provide a detailed walkthrough, and share what we love and dislike about this electric skateboard.

3:55 that grinding noise is the sound of your belts skipping, you just need to tighten your belts
Is there a tool that helps with this? I tighten them as much as I could with my hands.
@@djkrell
I don’t think you should set it too tight. There is a video that Daniel Kwan talked about that issue a while back
@@djkrell If you grip the motor and then use your other hand to turn the wheel and nothing moves, then you're good. If the motor or wheel moves, then your belt is too loose.
my soul died when he braked
Voyager is worth every penny! And better with Gear Drive! And yeah like other's said, that's belts skipping and needs to be tightened properly. There's video of how it's done properly.
Great job, Dalton ! You are a champion 🏆
Good review. Like that you guys are adding boards to the channel.
Any boards you would like to see in the future?
More to come!
Haven't watched this channel in awhile. Nice to see a new face! This was a great review
you're the man. Thanks for the v5. loving the purchase. BTW, the remote that came with the voyager is the same one I had for the v3.
*Nice to see another eBoard*
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️🤙🏽
Great job on the review!!!
Thanks! Appreciate the suppport!
Scary how far and fast this company has advanced. It is like watching the borg in real time.
Great review. What about some all terrain wheel boards like evolve gtr AT.
Possibly a vid with all terrain wheels coming soon 👀
did they send you a free boardto review, or was it only a affiliate link with code they gave?
The thing that's kept me from getting an e-board is my experience in RC and thats essentially what these are. Lipo batts and ESC just shit out whenever they want and depending on the company's customer service it can get pricey/frustrating
Have this & an ace deck N1 gear drive, lookin to put the new gear drive on the voyager
Please review the Teverun Fighter Mini !!!
How about some off road eskates?
The only boards with cutout handles are Meepo tbh. I personally am not a fan of the cutouts. Would rather have a carry handle attached to the trucks or just a strap and carabiner.
Nice
Amazon Outdoormaster e skateboard, is 500$ and does 34 mph.
A negative on all Esk8 boards your foot will fall asleep or tingle a bunch after riding a lot.
not for everyone. keep at it ✅
Does anybody race on kart tracks?
Nope. But it sounds like fun!
It's fun for sure, but when you come off you end up on the tyre walls haha. MTB trails feel great
No wheel install instructions seems like a glaring omission.
A simple one page insert, or an easily viewed online video - on their youtube channel (do they have one?) or on their website.
Crazy talk, I know...
This is a good review, but not researching the belt skipping and bs 40 mph claim hurts the legitimacy of the review. Not that im a reviewer, but i feel like its kind of the bare minimum, especially with the loads of documentation on this board.
This looks like a boosted board 5 years too late. Review an Apex, Trampa or Hoyt St board, those are brands worth hype
We will see what we can do(:
We will see what we can do(:
How high do you Ollie on that ?
I feel companies are trying to slowly kill us. Either physically or financially
Your belts are definatly loose! You are both wearing down your belt teeth and motor gear! And robbing yourself of braking power! Plus as the belts wear down it will start slipping when you accelerate fairly hard too.
You have to loosen and slide back the motor mounts ever slow slightly, by one or two millimeters.
Knock off boosted board plus lol
Shit should’ve been assembled by manufacturer
Is it just me, I prefer to push with my foot.
Who is promoting this as 40MPH!???? Don't promote the lie... call them out on it!!
Been with you guys since 15K subs and I can appreciate you guys hiring new talent... but test the title of your claims!
I can confirm that I got it up to 35 mph and although it seemed to have more juice in it, I was not comfortable with going faster
it literally says under ideal conditions right below the speed rating. So it can probably do 40 on flat ground, with no wind, and a rider weighing less than 160lbs, on a smooth road. pretty much every pev claims their speeds this way. TBH 35 mph on this type of eskate will already be scary and borderline as fast as you can feasibly go outside of a track. IDK about you but where i live every road is cracked and broken basically and you hit any cracks on these boards going over 25mph its a very scary moment
I don’t have this board or any Meepo boards personally but from other CZcams channels, that seems 37mph is very possible on this board. However, if you try to do it on a normal street, you’d better be prepared with full body protective gears and tighten your bushings at least!!!! FYI, the world record on an eSK8 is 80mph by this Australia guy who actually is selling his own brand of eSK8 boards.
Anyway, eSK8 prices have been coming down noticeably in the last 3 years. I’d say now for price range, $500 is budget
$1000 is medium and you may get some decent boards.
$1500+ is premium
$2500+ is WOW! Those boutique brands you may never heard of and suspiciously seem to be overpriced!
@yeeieio Yup this is all true. I bet 37 feels real scary on that board until you get to like 1k miles ridden. Ive done 31 on an eskate, granted it was a short board and not a long board, but you can tell real quick why most vehicles that go faster than 25 have bigget wheels
i called them out on it. it does NOT do 40mph. idk why other youtubers dont make this clear
40 mph on a skateboard is a deathwish.
Only if you are reckless and not armored up. I hit near 40mph all the time.
Also downhill, non powered longboards hit speeds greater than 70mph all the time and crash at those speeds fairly often.
And then there are crashes doing 60-70mph on electric unicycles.
Best Electric Skateboard period
That does not go 40 mph more like 25mph or less
I was able to get it up to 35 mph however I did not feel comfortable going faster, but I also was not full throttle and it seemed to have more juice in it
does not go 40. but it easy gets up to 35-37mph.
Change your wheel speed bro
I got 40+ on my voyager
Not true. I hit 39-40mph all the time. I am 185lbs at 6 feet tall. I run the 105s (really just 102mm brand new) with the 32T pulleys.
Now I did switch out the wheel and pulley bearings for what I think are better ones. I'd probably get up to "only" 37-38mph on the stock ones. Other than that, the board is stock with the Samsung battery. Oh and my wheel speed settings is 97. I double checked the distance traveled and top speed readings of the remote using both Google maps distance measurement between two fixed points, and a GPS app on my phone that measures speed and distance traveled, so that chart is wrong.
Meepo is trash
