Artisan EcoTours in Puerto Rico: A Conversation Between Master Craftsmen

A new Artisan EcoTour program is launching soon in Puerto Rico, proudly presented by GreenWood and the Caribbean Climate Hub of the U.S. Forest Service International Institute of Tropical Forestry. Hear more about the program in this video, including an inspiring conversation between EcoTour master instructors René Delgado (of Puerto Rico) and Michael Fortune (of Ontario, Canada). The two met for the first time over Zoom in July 2020 to share their approaches to design in wood and discuss ideas for their 10-day workshop.
Our goal is to promote the Puerto Rican economy by fostering connections between the island’s tropical forests and vibrant community of wood artisans, and we’re looking forward to bringing this program to fruition as soon as it is safe to do so.
