    IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please ALWAYS use resin with proper precautions including wearing proper PPEs (glove, mask, respirator etc) AND working in a well ventilated space. I recommend getting a hold of the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) info that every resin company has available to the public (by law). This has all the info about the resin you are using including the precautions you need to take and first aid care. Watch my resin safety video for more info: • RESIN SAFETY | Importa...

    honestly i'm really glad that theyre making vacuum chambers more accessible to non-commercial folk like me. this is definitely promising!

  • @daimyo2k

    Suggestion... When you are degassing, don't release the pressure so soon. When you are releasing the pressure, the air bubbles are not popping. The air bubbles are just resettling back into the liquid due to normalizing of the air pressure. When you reach peak vacuum, turn off the machine and leave it for about a minute. This will give the air bubbles and especially the unseen ones, time to form, rise to the surface and pop.

    Very nice video. Clear directions and nice demo. I have a large vacuum chamber, so I think I'll pass on this little one for now. I love how you have your station all set up with good camera placement. I even like your intro.❤

    So cool! I have been wanting to get back into resin but didn't want to shell out money for a vacuum chamber. I think this is exactly what I needed!

    THANK YOU for testing on the UV resin too, it's what I prefer to work with over 2 part

    145$!, a vacuum chamber with a pump is 100-115$. 30-45$ difference. I feel like a plastic chamber is a bit unsafe. It'll likely crack overtime.

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Před rokem

      The plastic is pretty thick but the possibility of cracking is still there.

    I bought one of the big industrial vacuum systems and my only complaint is that many of the bubbles expand but don't pop so when I let air back in they just get small again and I vacuum them big again... back and fourth :p Would be great if there was a way of popping the expanded bubbles inside the chamber :p

    Thanks for this deeper review! I have a ton of that horrible Naked Fusion from when I started doing resin and had to laugh when you tried it. I’d dome with it if the hardener wasn’t amber colored. 😂 I just use it up slowly in situations that make sense while cursing my newbie self from a few years ago. 😤

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Před rokem +1

      😂 nooo! the worst resin to start with as a beginner! If I used that resin as my first one, I would’ve quit all together lol

      @@AmyMade 🤣 It was interesting for a first experience! I ended up buying some cheap generic stuff that was still miles better for learning. I’ve made all kinds of weird stuff with the NF to get through it, such as coasters for leveling furniture LOL. I also use it dyed black to back bigger items where it won’t show. I don’t sell so it doesn’t matter. Mine isn’t quite as thick as yours but it’s still awful. 😖

    You should preheat the silicone mold to 100 degrees C for at least an hour or two. Also, a vacuum pump that can reach 98 kPa is best.

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Před rokem

      Heating mold is not necessary unless you’re using intricate molds with lots of crevices.

    • @davepaturno4290
      @davepaturno4290 Před rokem

      @AmyMade As long as the pot (working) life of the resin is sufficiently long (20 minutes or more), pre-heating of the mold can eliminate bubbles, especially if your vacuum pump cannot pull 29 or more inches of mercury. Most of my experience is with thermoset polyurethane (80+ Shore D hardness), and even simple molds can benefit. Pot life was generally 20 minutes.

    What is the name of the device that you then use to heat the remaining air bubbles?

    I see on all the other videos of this product it works fantastic. They also release the valve slowly. Have you tried using it again with better results?

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Před rokem

      It works perfectly fine. It just depends on the resin itself. As I mentioned, it works well with casting resins. The results with the JDiction resin was amazing!

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Před rokem +1

      Another thing is I wanted to cover all bases testing different types of resin. It’s safe to assume other reviewers used resin that already has great bubble releasing quality; of course the results will be great with the vacuum. I wanted to show that vaccum chamber in general will not work with all type/brand of resin. That way, consumers will have realistic expectations

      I personally don’t think it’s that loud. But loudness is subjective. I’d say it’s as loud as a hair dryer in low setting
