I started playing guitar not so long ago and have been enjoying it so much I thought I'd share some of the songs I learn. Head to my channel for more covers and insight into how I learned, I truly think everyone should try to learn an instrument since it's so fulfilling and enjoyable!
This one's really fun to play and sing along to, in the original song John Mayer uses his popular finger-picking style in which he plucks a string with his index finger and slaps the bass string with his thumb at the same time. It's worked well for a lot of his songs, like Stop This Train and Heart of Life!

ive been learning this one on the guitar for quite a bit and am impressed because i know its hard to keep the vocals and guitar part together but you did quite good! be more confident in your voice sing loudly and proudly and youll be a star man!

Amazing cover! One of the best! Both playing and singing. Being a guitarist(amateur one 😅) I know how difficult this song is to play, that too while singing! Brilliant! Btw man how long are your fingers? I have big hands myself but your hands are something else, maybe bigger than Mr. Mayer himself 😄

hm can't remember exactly - I think it was one of those songs that you make the effort to learn the progression and finger placements once and then play it often whenever you pick up the guitar and it gradually starts sounding better over time

This is great. Try to get a condenser and shotgun mic for your vocal and guitar. Cause you got great voice and playing. The sm57 kinda compress the sound in a box mate. Anw, great tune!

I just started learning the song yesterday and I'm progressing very well but I'm using John's finger picking technique, using only and index and it's pretty hard since it's a first for me so i was wondering if u tried it?
Yeah I got used to playing it mostly with my middle finger and thumb and only using the index to play the middle string with the face of that nail on the downstroke. Didn't really know JM only used the index at this point. I did practiced it a lot tho, so I would say just keep at it and it'll get better and better!

Try drinking tea or something hot before you sing helps you project more, you actually have a really nice voice its just a tad soft.Your guitar playing is spot on, the basic pattern of this song is not that hard but some of the little licks can be really challenging .
