Olha hermosos barcos realizas eres excelente, felicidades..🇲🇽..........
Gracias!
Olha !! C·est du parfait ...
Merci!
It becomes more and more beautiful, as more and more details are added.
Have you ever considered using dry-brushing and black washing techniques on your models? I believe, your friend and fellow ship-modeler from Kiev, whose collection you have shown on your channel, uses those a lot (to a point of being overdone a little :-) ).
Thank you very much!
I'm glad you like it!
I prefer traditional methods of protection or tinting of the model. Most of the original museum models have shellac or oils and the dark color on them is the result of centuries...
But no one forbids you to age the wood with paint. Unless, if you want to take part in competitions of the international organization NAVIGA - your model will get to a class "painted" where big battleships usually take part and chances of a victory for small ships on volume of works simply are not present...
your work is exceptional, though I wouldn't wear jewelry while using power tools, rings expecially.
Thank you!
I can't work without my jewelry - without them I'm unbalanced)))
dream 🥰
Thanks!
i hope you are well 🙏
Phenomenal work as always Olha! Every detail is perfection. Highlight of my day :)
Thank you so much 😀
Cómo siempre al detalle! 🎩💐
Gracias!
Perfect work Olha. Can you tell me what camera you use for the close ups?
Thank you very much!
I use a 100mm macro lens for close-up shooting regardless of the camera.
Hello dear Olha,
I've seen that you did not make the plate on your discsander from the tip I gave to you.
I hope that you will do it because it is so much more easy with sanding close to the disc.
Greetings from your Dutch friend.
Yes, I still haven't made the table closer! I have a more global plan to upgrade this tool. Cut a part of the plastic hull so that the plexiglass plate fits around the sanding disc!
Superb! How are your eyes? Still praying!
Thank you very much! I'm much better and I can wear contact lenses! So I can continue to work on models...
@@OlhaBatchvarov Answered prayer.... You go get um gurl! (Slang American)
Beautiful craftsmanship. What oil do you use on your models?
Stay safe 🌲
Thank you very much!
I haven't used a single drop of oil on this model yet, because then you won't have to glue anything! I will do it after the completion of the hull - maybe in the next video! Here I only used yellow shellac. I describe it in the subtitles and you can also find a direct link in the description under the video on tinting and painting models. I do not write links in the comments, because CZcams blocks them as spam!
🏆⚓⛵❤️🙋🇧🇷
I love. You
Hi Olha,
What type of wood glue are you using for buttresses and planking?
I have all my saws and hand tools now and I’m starting my first ship the HALF MOON 1/75
Watching all your video’s your amazing!!!!
Hello
Here I used D3 PVA, which becomes transparent after drying.
P.S. All materials are described in the subtitles in the video, as well as detailed videos about some processes you can find in the description below the video.
Another beautiful video showcasing your incredible talent and like always, your choice of music fits perfectly. Again, Thank you for your time end effort in producing these videos. We're learning a lot. May I ask what was brushed on near the end of the video? Varnish, mineral spirits, shellac?
Thank you very much!
I'm glad you liked it!
I used yellow shellac.
All the materials I use in the construction process I describe in the subtitles! Or you can find individual videos about some of the technological processes that are repeated in each video by following the direct link in the description below the video (for example, how to prepare shellac in a video "Painting and tinting...")
I will try to write a link in the next comment, if CZcams does not block it!

@@OlhaBatchvarov Thank you. I had my subtitles/captions turned off. Ill be sure to enable them for future videos.
You always make it look so easy, but we all know that it’s not! xx
😊 thank you
I see often you create extra parts and add things that are different to the plans in the model. Is this always to make them more historically accurate? Or do you sometimes make changes that you think look better?
I follow the drawings in the set, I just add darker walnut wood to make the model more expressive and voluminous. If I find errors then I specify where and what I change...
Love your videos Olha! Your work is inspiring. I have really been getting very interested in trying to put together a wooden model ship and have absolutely no experience. What kit would you recommend to a novice that is easy to obtain and still in production?
Thank you!
Building wooden ships is a long process - so I can only give you one recommendation - choose the one you like, otherwise you will not be interested in building and you will never finish the model! It is also a misconception to buy a boat or something small to see if you can build such wooden ships - sometimes it is harder to put a boat together than a schooner or a brig! Also, choose a not very small scale...
Thanks for the reply. I have a particular interest in galleons. I was thinking about the San Francisco 2 from artesania Latina. It seems way over my head but I would love to give it a try. Any experience with their kits?
Sub.good work
Thank you very much!
Maticulous.....
Thank you!
Belíssimo trabalho. Como faço para adquirir os planos (projeto)? Desde já agradeço!
Belíssimo trabalho. Como faço para adquirir os planos (projeto)? Desde já agradeço!
@@OlhaBatchvarov Beautiful work. How do I purchase the plans (project)? Thank you very much in advance!
Ohla,n you recommend a starting kit?
I can give you only one advice - choose the model of the ship that you will be interested in building! Then you will definitely build it...
Fair enough. I will pay attention to your videos. You have superb modelling skills. From you so many will be learning. Respect.
Why did you have to make them from scratch? Were they not supplied in the kit
Because in a kit they need to be made of planks of 5х5 mm glued together! So yes, they really should be made almost like scratch, following the instructions!
@@OlhaBatchvarov ahhhh understood, yes they would have looked strange in layered wood
Please don't let your kids sail this beauty in the bathtub.
Unfortunately, I do not have children, but for them I would build special waterproof models))
@@OlhaBatchvarov What a dad/model builder !
Sorry dear Olha, cancel the word not you made the plate of plexiglass.
