At the end, I absolutely LOVE how Kieran does a "speech", wakes up terapagos, terapagos yawns, WALKS OVER TO THE MAIN CHARACTER, Kieran has a horrified look on his face, and master balls it.

The difficulty certainly surprised me; as I decided I’d change my team for each DLC so I didn’t have level 100 powerhouses steamrolling everything and got my butt kicked quite a few times by just normal trainers!
I had the exact same idea and outcome 😂 I suppose there's a first for everything
Even with my level 100 team the trainers were able to faint my pokemon.
I respectfully disagree on your perception of the lore. I thought it was actually really clear and consistent with the lore of the franchise as a whole.
I think multiversal time travel is just a confusing concept for people to wrap their heads around. But the game did a great job explaining that that’s what’s going on.
Another problem is that some people latched on to dream theory, which was never supported by any actual in-game evidence. So for people who went in expecting Terapagos to have dream powers, despite no in-game evidence for that… it makes sense that those people would be disappointed.
In my opinion its more a 7/10 I liked seeing the new Pokemon,Regional variants,The Unva references,Characters r good,the battles were hard which was surprising. The Biomes were more of the environment then in Paldea. But the flaws show the BP is annoying if your doin solo,Getting 200 Pokemon for the Paradox Pokemon is dumb,environments still look like a PS2 game,and well Terapogoes was over hyped. Again this is my opinion Pokemon Fans can blast me if they want but we all have different opinions.
I think 200 for the paradox is fine, it encourages you to actually explore and find Pokémon. Catching is a main part of Pokémon but if it’s not for every but I think it’s fine for extra Pokémon. Only bad thing is getting another one would be tedious
DLC is gonna change the graphics. Good battles and pokemon is a win to me
Agree with most of your points but the graphics looked fine to me.
Graphics are important, every part of a game ultimately is but i feel the gameplay is THE most important part of every game since thats what gamers but games to do: to play
Terapagos in terms of its design and just how Area Zero story is executed is just awful. I was hoping it'll be some earth shattering world ending kind of Pokémon design that is slowly build up in game but getting the opposite feels meh.
The amount of refrences makes me think it’s about an 80-85% chance for Unova games next year
I would say 50/50 because of the three paradoxes being based on Johto's legendaries and Unova's legendaries.
Remember remakes has to match the gens number. Unova remakes are coming with gen 10.

As it pertains to Briar. I think she did what she supposed to do and that was to figure out what else lies within Area Zero. Which is what Briar wanted to figure out. I feel like many people hyped her up to be more than just a resercher. Thing is she doesnt have to be more just researcher.
I will say while i did really really enjoy this dlc, compare to Crown Tundra? they seem to be neck and neck to each other but if i had to pick, Crown Tundra takes it, because the dlc gave us Dynamax Adventures which provides MASSIVE replayability, Indigo disk not having an equivalent or heck even a battle tower kinda hurts it, and the static legendaries being Shinylocked is genuinely unexcusable and unreasonable...like why?
Regardless, i did enjoy Indigo disk, the content is pretty meaty compare to like base game and teal mask. the double battles and the BB Elite four are really enjoyable and quite tough. Indigo disk is a really nice sendoff to SV.
I give this DLC, 10 family kfc buckets out of 20 piece mcchicken nuggets.
Sincerely, I either went overprepared or underprepared... But nevertheless my Lvl 100 Pokemon just blew appart the Blueberry Elite 4... I had fun, tho.
Dlc was great, enjoyed battling a lot.
Terapagos battle and Terapagos in general was tera-ble
I think this DLC had me most invested in Scarlet and Violet. I mean seriously its like its encouraging me to keep on playing it.
Ever since we never got the God Stone in Gen 5 I forever knew that Pokémon would never deliver in answering these plot points they seed throughout the story. It's part of their marketing, to have the fans carry the IP via lore discussion and speculation. It's evident with Gen 6 due to lack of Z and the introduction of Fallers in ORAS that's never really flashed out. Us fans making videos like this is what is keeping the franchise alive... and relevant all things considered, it's free marketing for GameFreak and TPCi. I bet they leave the games buggy on purpose too (bad PR is still PR). They thrive on controversy. Look at the anime, the most dubious sendoff to Ash is still spoken due to his character treatment. We always cared more for Pokémon then they ever did because to us it's a genuine passion while for them it's just a corner-cutting business. As for the Book Time Loop, the only way that can be "fixed" would be with a 3rd DLC where we give the Book to Arven and Arven gives the Book to his parent in the Crystal Pool (the existence of the book would be paradoxical, and perhaps the same goes with the Professor's signature). Overall, at this point, I'm used to this franchise leaving things open ended, especially in a story that is heavily tied with mystery, ofc it wouldn't be resolved. I knew we would end the DLC with more questions then answers, they keep us confused just to create more buzz around the games years after they released (I mean, we're still discussing XY and the AZ plot a whole decade after the fact). And given how both the Johto and Unova itches were scratched with DLCs (perhaps not to the extend fandom brand fidelity wants), I wouldn't be surprised if remakes or legends aren't even done again for those regions (or ever), they can easily just do Southern Kalos since it should realistically and geographically be to the Paldea's Northeast. They always tend to break patterns, we'll see tho.
I don’t understand how a DLC that focuses on area zero doesn’t at least involve Arvan. For the 3 best friends I was OK with their absence from the teal mask but they should have gone with the player and the annoying siblings into the crater. I also would of loved to see the rivalry between Nemona and Carmine

I’m more of a younger Pokémon fan and I’m really struggling with the battles, if over-leveling doesn’t work idk what to do 💀
The steel type gave me the most trouble and I had a team of 100s

I bought the dlc specifically for Kieran, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Bonus because of Gen 5 being my favorite, I’m very satisfied with this dlc :)

Hate to say it, but im in strong disagreement.
For one thing, i have no idea what you're talking about with the difficulty. I never encountered a battle where i lost more than 1 Pokemon through the entire dlc, and i was using the tried and true "hit it with a super effective attack" strategy. Now, I don't need Pokemon to be hard. In fact, i kunda prefer it being a simple power fantasy. But anyone with a half decent team is gonna have no issue blitzing every trainer here.
The environments were nice, and i appreciate the unova references, as a big gen 5 fan. But after exploring for a bit, it became clear how shallow it all was. There were no fun hidden areas, no secret cameos hiding away somewhere. Nothing really of any interest once youve walked through it once. Its not bad, but it does get a bit tiresome with how much time you'll be speton bbq's.
Oh, and the bbq's suck. They're all simple missions, and its not hard to rack up pounts. But everything is so expensive, and each mission only gives you 10-30 BP. The big ones give you a bigger reward, but you only get those every 10 smaller quests. Its a massively tedious experience to get enough points. You need 12,000 just to fully upgrade the terrarium, and 200 for every teacher you wanna bring in. Its extremely boring after just a short time doing it. You can apeed it up by teaming up with people, but if you don't have in person friends to play with, or you didn't wanna oay dor the online on top of the $60 game and $30 dlc, you're just gonna have to grind.
The story is... Fine? The bb league is good, if a bit short. Though having a fly through the rings trial was annoying. And making up battle with only new Pokemon could have been q good way to add challenge, except its only for the easy trial trainers and not the actual boss fight, and Pokemon caught in raids in the terrarium for some reason don't count.
But the area zero expedition was one of the biggest let down in the franchise. We learned absolutely nothing about terapagos, whos on the cover. Kieran forgave us way to fast. I liked that he actually caught terapagos, but this is a powerful Pokemon that can supposedly grant wiahes. Shouldn't he have it for a bit, play up his power crazy arc, before we bring him back to earth when things get too intense? Instead it breaks free 5 seconds after he catches ir, and we get it, and hes just fine with that now.
The part of the story that worked was way too short, and the part that didn't was broken because it wasn't allowed to actually go anywhere.
All that on top of it being so bugged that i literally had to uninstall and reinstall the entire game to get itto actually play.
The dlc is a 4/10 at best.
Are there any glitches
fully agree with most if not all of this. i played the base game and kinda just put it away, sure the replayability was ok (new swarms /raids etc a day and so on), but it didnt feel like there really was enough there, but wiht the dlc oh my lord. you play for like 4 hours and then youre like "ok ive done quite a bit, not bored but its a bit repetitive now" and then you realize you have 3 other maps on top and you completely that there is even more stuff to do etc. ive been really bad at checking each map on what swarms i have. the only thing i wish the game had was a minigame that isnt tera raids. overall i'd say the raids are a pretty mid experience (people not understanding how they work/griefing/really slow servers). im thinking stuff like X and Y and the and the super training games, i absolutely loved them, and the gen 7 islands was very fun too. it gave you daily tasks to have a reason to play a little every day. besides swarms and tera raids there isnt really a feature like that and its the biggest drawback (that and the performance holy.... i didnt think it was that bad the first 3 months but i swear im getting single digit fps).

Funny. This is the second review I watch and they couldnt be further apart. Previous one was like hey this is trash, avoid! And this one is 9/10 haha.
The battling sounds good though... but is there a facility or something to continue after you beat it? I'm pretty sure there isn't?
How rare are the apricorn balls? Because the isle of armor rates were so darn low and the balls in the auction are so expensive and rare to show up its pretty asynine. I can't wait to get more apriballs.

Well for me it was different I had level 100 Pokemon team and I got destroyed. So I was forced to use different Pokemon and level them just to win. I mean I actually had to do some real thinking with the battles. Something that I was not so used to doing so much.
I feel like if you don’t wanna be easy, it’s kinda your responsibility to get some nerfed Pokémon instead of going into a DLC with max lvl 100 teams😭

If you had asked me right after finishing it I would've given it a 5.5/10 but I've since softened on it a bit, I was disappointed with the story but I feel like it settles comfortably in the 6.5-7 range.

Yeah it’s nice they have some semi-competitive teams…but they’re all 20 level to low. Like, we had to finish the main game, then finish the ace tournament, then the teal mask…like, we had *so much time* - then we finally do get a challenge aaaand it’s non existent if you don’t have Pokémon specifically on or around level 80… come on bro, not even a battle tower…naithin…
To be fair the battles themselves are challenging. Even some of my level 100 Pokemon were struggling.
Competetive doesn't matter, Lando invalidates everything.

I still am not done playing the dlc at this point and I'll admit right out the gate I don't like that you have to think like a vgc player. I play this game for the story and the lore and adventure. I was maybe going to go in with a new team and wreck house but if I HAVE to Ev train and HAVE to take every turn into consideration I'm not going to have fun. Let me preface and say that while I'm not a new player and incompetent, I'm somewhat competent. I don't like to spam healing, I prefer set style over switch style, I like knowing that there is a challenge and preparing for it like Cynthia and Whitney in early games. This? No. I'm sorry I think gunning for competitive Pokemon battles should only be post game stuff. Even in the dlc. Reserve harder battles till it's all done. Some people like harder battles and some don't I respect other peoples opinion but from a purely casual player I don't like being forced to play like a vgc player. That's the tldr of it
