Hürrem's new plan is to provide İbrahim to fall from grace. Hürrem fixes up that a gold inlaid Qoran to be gifted to İbrahim. Pasha doesn't accept the gift. However, this attitude causes rumors that "İbrahim rejects Qoran". Rumors rise over and over... They even come to a point that İbrahim is a christian and he secretly goes to church.
Meanwhile Mehmet doesn't want to lose his favorite Nurbahar and decides to hide the young woman is pregnant. Mihrimah doesn't like this idea and she tries to protect her brother with her suggestions. In Manisa, Prince Mustafa gets devastated with a new affliction. Prince Suleiman contracts smallpox. This deadly disease strikes both him and Mahidevran.
Topkapı Palace hots up with Sultana Şah's arrival. Hatice gets prepared to host her sister in her palace but she gets offended after she lears that her sister will stay in Topkapı Palace. Meanwhile, Hürrem wants to welcome Sultana Şah whom she doesn't know very well and get her on her side.
How will be freed of İbrahim's spy plan? What will İbrahim Pasha do after people's protests? Will Hürrem's plan work the fullest? Will Prince Suleiman survive the deadly disease? Who will Sultana Şah be support?
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Had Ibrahim sided with Hurrem and both worked together to prepare Mehmet for the throne, everyone would have been happy. But the whole problem here was a statesman like Ibrahim who was also a skilled soldier considered it an insult to make pact with a woman whose whole skill seems to be her beauty and physical charm. Ibrahim failed to acknowledge Hurrem Sultans intelligence.
I agree with you. The team hureem and Ibrahim would be formidable. Except that Hureem's goal was to survive in the palace and protect Suleyman and her children. Her love (and loyalty) for Suleyman and Suleyman's love for her was unshakable. All others were just by the way. Whereas for Ibrahim was greed and hunger for power - loyalty to Suleyman was questionable

For most of the lead up and during these scenes, Hurrrem thought it was HER end, and obviously so did Inbrahim! He was so arrogant and cocky thinking it would be a slam dunk for his team. Ibrahim had no idea the girl was going to turn on him, Suprise, sucker! LOL. Can't help but think that Hurrem telling Sulieman (in some episodes back) that Ibrahim would get rid of her if he could....must have resonated with Suleiman in thtat moment aftee the girl accused Ibrahim. Exactly, Nigar was a loose leg woman who LOVED having an affair with a married man. Nigar stans are very quick to forget this. She betrayed first, and paid very heavy prices for it. I think Rustem is simply brilliant and very enjoyable to watch
