For 13:54, the glass at the top of the farm, it goes out 8 blocks on each side. I think he forgot to add this, so I hope this helps you out. Commented By Lillybeth Bro

If you are wondering, the ender chests are not for decoration. I don’t know the exact reason why, but it has something to do with how they are not full blocks
its purpose to make items position perfect to both slide and get in hoppers

Spawn Proofing is the most important part of this design, and the most time consuming - its taken me about 10 hours, even over a massive lava field, to completely spawn proof - thats because my lava field had platforms above it - so choose your position very very carefully, or invest the time to do it right
@@ae.terror It will just work for aminute or two and then the piglins will stop spawning / spawn once in while. Anyways, if you don't want to spawn proof you can AFK at the top of the farm.. rates will not be as good as intended, but it's something

If anyone's seeing the slime block fire but NOT push the items, replace the honeyblock with a another slime block so that it fires completely off the ender chest, stack some extra melons/none-moveable blocks as a wall so they don't fall off, and you should be good.

For those wondering, it doesn't matter if the grindstones are on the floor or ceiling or facing the opposite direction, they just need to be on the same axis and it'll work just fine

@@phoenixlawton6723 melons because they are not able to move or be pushed by pistons. in the design you can see that honey blocks slide right over the melons. this allows redstone to be put on top of the melon.

1.20.4: if you have problems with the pusher you need to remove the redstone block that is in the sticky piston so the clock works anytime

this works in 1.18 but with some changes.
- AFK LEVEL stand on top of the glass at y=256.
- remove redstone block under noteblock at 23:07 when your done building
If you spawn proof the nether, the normal AFK spot works too.
And that redstone block gives the signal to NOT push the items to the middle row and then to send them towards the collecting&sorting area CONSTANTLY. Without that block your farm would work even when there is nothing spawning/whn those chunks are loaded. Which means lag.

Can you make a video about the overworld obsidian-based gold farm? You can also make some rough calculations and talk about how the size can change according to the random tick speed of the world/server.
I think this tutorial would have been a lot better starting from the bottom layer and working your way to the top. Normally love shulkercraft tutorials, but man this one is on the harder side to follow. Appreciate the tutorial none the less.

just built the farm, u need to place glass block 4 blocks higher than the previous turtle egg, meaning 5 blocks between each glass block, hope that is more understandable and not more confusing :/
8:10 about a second later you have dirt appear in your 3rd slot out of nowhere. either your using some sort of weird glitch/hack OR you have some godlike editing skills. either way, very nice

For anyone that doesn't want to spawnproof:
Make the build as specified (break the redstone block if you're in 1.17).
Make sure the farm is set to automatic.
Go up to the top where the solid layer of glass is and build 30 blocks out. This puts you in range of all the spawning platforms, but not in range of anywhere else below the nether roof where the pigs can spawn. Make that your AFK spot.
You won't have to spawnproof, but you still miss out on the XP you'd get from the manual version, so what I did was turn one of the chests into a rotten flesh chest. Then I brought a bunch of cleric villagers near the gold farm, and repeatedly infected and cured them, using the gold from the farm to make the golden apples, until they gave me one emerald for each rotten flesh. Now I can collect the flesh and get massive amounts of XP by trading it to the clerics.

Just finished building the farm and here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Minecarts don't always work first try. Push them yourself and make sure every dropper is getting items
2. The glass layer at the same y level as the top spawning platform is 8 blocks wide/thick [it wasn't mentioned in the tutorial]
3. The funneling system at the bottom only works when your farm is at max efficiency. To fix this just add a repeater near max delay running into the sticky postion with the redstone block.
4. Instead of using the cactus, place a block and flint and steel the top. This way if you throw your netherite sword you can get it back.
5. At the end of sorting system don't use lava, again just light a block on fire with a flint and steel, that way you can get something back if you accidently threw it away.
6. Spawn proof anything you add to the farm.
7. If you're trying to link this up to a bartering system I'd suggest drawing gold from the first 2 chests. It's enough to barter for a while and the other 2 chests for ingots don't fill up enough for a full system of bartering.
EDIT:
Few things I forgot to mention:
1. Storage system isn't nearly big enough and there are better designs that allow for easier crafting.
2. Place a beacon with strength and regen for longer afk periods

I build this in my Hardcoreword inside of a perimeter, its insane
before you place the first egg make sure the piglins cant get into the hole over the glass, otherwise they will jump in and break so build the tube up more than he did a little.

In case anybody is having trouble with the item pusher not pushing the items enough. Just place a slime block above the redstone block so that it gets pushed 1 block further down
Edit: Never mind it was me who got the tutorial wrong and did the redstone one higher than it should have been. Was about to rebuild the whole collection area to fix it, before I realised I could just place a slime block lol

(we're in a early game multiplayer server, and we don't have enough strings yet, so I don't know if I should really add them to our farm)

NOTE: You do not need melons. You can replace them for pumpkins or for furnaces I believe. Anything that honey will not pull. Even obsidian will work.
but I got a lot of melons and i'll get some utility out of it. (dont know what to do with 1000 melons per harvest tbh)

Please Note:
Don't add the redstone block or else your sorting system won't work at least in the newer versions.
Also turn on mob griefing if the pigmens aren't going after the turtle eggs.
Go to lan in settings and turn on cheats and do
/gamerule mobGriefing true
And if the mob rates are bad, spawn proof like he said (128 radius, the render distance is 8) or afk at y level 256 (it will be slower but u dont need to spawn proof).

And im in a server and the mobs spawn rate it really bad any advice ? (i have spawn proofed it)
@@omarabdullah9805 u dont have to add anything just leave it be, and make sure to spawn proof 120 radius if the mob rates are low and if the mob rates are still low its prob something with the server

this farm is absolutely great! when building this farm YOU MUST spawn proof! the farm isnt that good without spawn proofing due to the level its built at but when you do spawn proof, the rates are insane! much better than any other gold farm!
what is spawn proofing?
@@achqvwxyz9230it is placing slaps or bhttons on the surfece below the bedrock so the piglins won't spawn there but always in youre farm

Do you have a fix for the baby piglins trampling the eggs still?
i dont know if it will work better but you should use a smite V sweeping edge sword with strenght II, you can instakill all piglins with 1 hit
It works but u dont need strenght II,well that is if you dont wanna flex.
