650cc twins/singles.

up to 650cc twin four stroke. It used to be 250 two strokes. I'm quite impressed that MD took this win as he is a big lad and the bikes have no HP in comparison to a superbike. Testament to his riding skills more than wrestling a superbike round the course.

Time was when ... ultra lightweight TT was 50cc ... Lightweight TT was 125cc ... junior was 250cc and the Senior was 500cc ... now there pratically all the same

You're thinking of a different class, the 4 cylinder bikes of the superstock, supersport and superbikes. These are the Lightweights, twins, 4 stroke liquid cooled twins up to 650cc.
