- Israeli forces have retreated from the Shejaiya neighbourhood of Gaza City after around two weeks of fighting with Hamas and other Palestinian resistance fighters. The Israeli military in a statement confirmed the withdrawal and claimed that it destroyed eight major militant tunnels while also claiming to have killed 150 fighters during the fighting.
