    My grandfather lived at Launceston and had a holiday home in Vic at Indented Head. He had fully renovated the holiday home before retiring there using Huon all through and also had a small mountain of Huon stored in the shed. After he passed my parents sold the home but left the timber behind not knowing it's rarity.
    I visited once and met the new owner who happened to be a retired wood-turner. He said that the timbers value was the equivalent of winning the lottery. Some pieces were 8mts X 500mm posts.

    Wow..I thought it was hard planting trees in the snow and 3rd pruning with 5 metre ladders in the winter, then going north and brushcutting doing 25 kms on foot a day in 34 to 40 degree heat 6 days a week but that's crazy..and we had food and accommodation..I understand when he says he doesn't care if anybody believes him if he did it or not coz we did
