      It worked! It started to get a little moldy in a couple of small areas on the outside so I went ahead and separated all the pods out. It is edible now not really ripe but enough to make into smoothies.

    I suggest using a paper bag as it will still allow the fruit to it to ripen but not trap moisture potentially causing mold, although the chances of that happening in such a short time are low

      Good question. Let me check out in my book first is soursop climacteric or not. My book says it is. Meaning: it continues to ripen after picking. So, yes, the same method can be applied! :D

    Wow...sacrificed a dozen bananas for a jackfruit.
    Next time, it you actually have to take 48hrs to ripen the fruit, try packing it in a gunnybag or a clean warm cloth. That should have the same effect.

    “You cannot eat unripe fruit because you cannot digest starch”........ so we just gonna ignore that she just said we can’t eat potatoes, beans/legumes, and some grains because they have starch? You can’t eat fruit because it tastes like shit, it has nothing to do with the starch content. Your body is perfectly capable of digesting starch.

    • @HealthglowsNet
      @HealthglowsNet  Před 3 lety

      Hi Emmanuel!
      Thank you for watching and commenting. I am sorry if I frustrated you, I didn't mean to. Yet, I do stand behind my words. Just think about it... why do you have to cook starch at the first place?

    • @mannymm7887
      @mannymm7887 Před 3 lety

      Health Glows I’m not frustrated but more concerned that misinformation is being spread about certain scientific processes in the body. The rest of the video I quite enjoyed actually. The main reason you cook starchy foods such as the vegetables I listed above is because they contain toxins and harmful enzymes that when consumed raw in excess and can cause stomach pains and discomfort. Heating denatures the enzymes and proteins making them null. The final product still has starch. Just because you cook foods with starch content doesn’t link them to always needing to be cooked in order to digest. Correlation does not imply causation. You can still eat raw corn and peas. Still enjoyed the video overall though.
