That is the key: it starts with a one-two or a jab, you follow with the left hook to the body and the right leg kick is devastating. In the end, you play with the different levels of the human body until you break the one you wanted to.

@@Roycoproductions Not only that, but if you see HOW he sets up his lowkicks is just absolutely amazing. He throws a left punch (usually hook to body, sometimes followed up by a hook to the head) and angles his body like he is already trying to give you a lowkick. When the opponent reads the "fake" lowkick, he already lifts his leg, takes the hook which moves his bodyweight and is forced to put the blocking leg down and THEN is when Hoost gives the lowkick.
After the opponent's weight has been moved (due to the hook), he is forced to put his leg down and take the lowkick.
Hence the name Mr. Perfect, because of his (alsmost) perfect technique.

bob sapp was roided out hard, no testing then/there. he musta been pushing 400 pounds of rock solid meat back then. Lets say ernesto is 40% better than sapp but sapp is 42% bigger than hoost, sapp squeezes out a 2% victory.
well the ring is super small for this fight compared to other fights which makes sense, but that's the only way i see a world class kickboxer getting beat by a weightlifter. other than that this fight looks fixed even with the weight disadvantage
we're talking 200 lb. advantage here tho. thats like 2 guys against 1. To be fair u have to give sapp credit for not gassing out.

He was winning that fight, then he went off the thigh kick strategy too early and got too close to Sapp...in range for those wil haymakers. He had tht in that in the bag, that thigh was was about to collapse on Sapp, if he kept on with that...

Bob Sapp was juiced to the gills in that fight. If Hoost was as juiced up as Sapp was, the fight would have been over in less than 20 seconds.

It doesn't take credit of him for loosing to bob Sapp considering it wouldn't be even same weight category if there was something above heavy weight and second fight Ernest was raping Sapp until for a miracle he got cornered and stopped moving. It's was a strategy mistake, bob Sapp showed that even lacking technique his size and strength should be respected and is not normal 150kg , roided for sure and wouldn't fight if they tested.
