Disney and Pixar's #InsideOut2 is coming to theaters June 2024 with brand new emotions!
The little voices inside Riley’s head know her inside and out-but next summer, everything changes when Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” introduces a new Emotion: Anxiety. According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” said Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.” A trailer, poster and film stills are now available for what promises to be the feel-good (or feel-everything) film of Summer 2024.
Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, “Inside Out 2” releases only in theaters Summer 2024.

I'm not complaining that Pixar is showing what they've already been showing, so they don't want to spoil the elements of surprise by the time the movie comes out. I feel like this might be a return to form...despite being another sequel.

Three ideas for short films that should be included in the theaterical releases of Inside Out 2, Moana 2 and Zooptoia 2:
Inside Out 2: Tote Bag: This Pixar short film will focus on the world from the point of view of a living male tote bag being carried by a human and falls in love with a female tote bag. Elio will hopefully be shown in cinemas alongside a Pixar short film too. The first Inside Out movie was shown in cinemas alongside Lava. Elemental was previously shown in cinemas alongside an Up franchise short film, Carl’s Date from Dug Days.
Moana 2: Animal Migration, This Walt Disney Animation Studios short film will focus these red foxes, gray rabbits, white-tailed deer, blue rays, cardinals and other woodland creatures trying to follow these monarch butterflies and tiger swallowtail butterflies on their migration to the American Southwest and California for the winter. The first Moana movie was shown in cinemas alongside Inner Workings. Wish, Disney Animation’s last feature film was shown in cinemas alongside a short film, “Once Upon a Studio”.
Zooptoia 2: Citipati: This Walt Disney Animation Studios short film will focus on Citipati parents taking turns incubating their nest of eggs and protecting it from predators like Velociraptor and Troodon despite the fact that they actually have hatchlings of their own to feed too and the eggs they are stealing are for them actually. Leading to the Citipatis having sympathy towards the devils, the Velociraptors at the end and even offer them a free meal to feed their hatchlings to their delight and happiness.
The first Zooptoia movie was not shown in cinemas alongside a short film making it Walt Disney Animation Studios’ first feature film since The Princess and the Frog (2009) not to do so. This is also the only Walt Disney Animation Studios sequel film not to have a predecessor theatrical original short film. Zooptoia 2 and Moana 2 will be the only Walt Disney Animation Studios theatrical sequels to be shown in cinemas alongside short films (Despite Zooptoia being shown in cinemas with no short film itself unlike Disney Animation’s feature films from Tangled to Moana. From 2010 to 2016.) while Ralph Breaks the Internet and Frozen II the sequels to Wreck-It-Ralph and Frozen while their preducessors were shown in cinemas alongside short films, Paperman and Get a Horse!, the sequels had no short films shown in the theatrical releases at all.

Although I have concerns for this movie, the advertising looks pretty good. KFP 4 and lightyear also had great advertising but were wasted opportunities(I haven’t seen KFP4. I know from what I heard). That’s y I’m concerned(and excited) for this movie. This better not be wasted opportunity

I am... cautiously optimistic about this film. It depends if the people at Pixar were able to make a story that all audiences can enjoy and emotionally connect to, or if Disney got their grubby hands on it to serve an agenda. I'm just saying, this is about Riley hitting puberty, and we have had two separate Disney animations in recent years where a young girl getting her first period is a plot point.

I wonder if there might be a third movie of inside out one day!? Only in the third movie Riley would become a mother of twins! And three new emotions named piece hope and love would help the rest of the emotions help Riley give birth to her twin son and daughter! And I think Riley would make a really wonderful mother! But being a mother is a major responsibility sometimes! But I know the emotions will work together to help Riley take care of her children! The boy will be named Raymond and the girl will be named Rosabella! Pretty cool huh!?❤
