- We went back to OIB! We fell in love with Ocean Isle Beach NC last year so we had to go back! Eat, stay and play with us - and we also did quite a bit of shopping too! We like to take long weekend trips and do travel vlogs 📸 to share what we 🍴 eat, where we go and what we do. We also create DIY, decorating, decluttering, vlog style, hauls and cooking videos too. I really enjoyed watching your ocean isle video! My family and I have been visiting there almost every year since the 1980s and have seen it grow in many ways while staying unchanged in many ways. I can offer you and Scott many ideas and suggestions for places to visit, things to do, and places to eat in the surrounding areas.

So funny! When we went in early May to OIB, we stayed in the exact same condo complex! It was exactly the same, just decorated a little differently. We love it too and we can't wait to go back another time and try some new restaurants! So glad you had a great time! We usually go to Corolla, NC in the Outer Banks (we love it there the most), but we have been trying some new beaches recently in NC and SC. :)

My family used to go to sunset beach right next door for 20 years every summer.. we used to visit my aunt and uncle who would be at ' the winds' hotel in ocean isle .. man I miss those days...such a nice place....

@@LivingGratefully no,unfortunately I haven't been back in years.. my father passed, and it wouldn't be the same... Can remember so far back when sunset didn't have many beachouses at all, now it's filled up......and our many many trips to calabash to eat at the seafood restaurants and play minny golf.... Love seeing channels like yours that bring back those memories...

if you want really good ice cream you should try out the calabash creamery!! it’s worth the drive and the long lines!

Hi Shelly! Welcome! I’m so glad **too** that you came across us! I’m sitting here with scott and we can’t think of anything at all as far as dislikes or concerns or donts ! Are you staying in the same exact one that we stayed in -110? (Jennifer hall is the host) If so that is so cool! You saw where it was chilly when we went - with our sweatshirts on a lot - we went off season. you get to go when the weather is nice and you can sun bathe either at the pool or the beach! Yay! You can walk to a lot of places but we didn’t do much of that because of my back. It’s the perfect location for that though! We love OIB and we hope you have a blast!

We search on Vrbo by location and pick one that we can afford and has great reviews. We happened to stay in Ocean Cove twice in different condos 😜 it’s very nice! If you go, I hope you have the best time!
We are trying to decide between Hilton head or ocean isle.
I’ve heard amazing things about Hilton head but we haven’t been yet! It will be fun wherever you go! Thanks for watching!

How do you find such nice condos?
Hi Joanne! We search on VRBO mostly. We like to go off season to save money. It’s much harder to find places in the summer / prime season because they are all booked up :). Thanks for watching!! 💕

I think an important piece of the puzzle at OIB was the policy of no high rises. It set the tone for the whole island.
