  • The diffractive IOL designs have been a game changer in providing the optics for the Bifocal and Multifocal IOLs. They have edged out the refractive optics. We need to understand the science of the Optics and physics behind these lenses. This presentation is inspired by the teaching of Dr Damien Gatinel

Nice presentation sir , what if these lens implanted upside down

Centration and orientation are very important with mf iol. If inserted in the inverted position I would definitely right the orientation notable
Itself. This is quite simple. Whether the multificality will be affected .. yes with a myopic shift in some cases. But pt will still have two points of focus

Hi, Does Zeiss have diffraactive IOL?
Is this new better technology than Zeiss LISA & LARA ?
    Thanks
    Andros

Zeiss MF are diffractive in design. They have incorporated SMP or smooth multiphasing design which reduces haloes and glare or so they say. But they perform like other diffractives.

Excellent information, but the sound quality made it difficult to hear

sorry about that. There seems to be an extra bass to the voice. maybe with headphone it would come through better
