Lucas starts off having a great birthday and then it takes a major turn. Poor Lucas thought his birthday was ruined, but we tried to make the best of a bad situation.

Aaron is so brave, knowing that he is walking into danger for his kids. That shows a lot about his character, and I feel like both of them handled the situation so perfectly, even though it is very stressful
@@nancyfarkas3592 are you saying you wouldn't run after your kids in that situation? Yes logically thats true, hunker down and wait it out. But a man protects his family and they needed him. It's a tough call I admit.
@@nancyfarkas3592 I completely see your point. A lot of people aren't trained like you or I though as to what to do in this type of situation. Also I think they explained it best they could but I couldn't tell how far away the girls were. If they were close enough it would be a judgment call for me. However I take mine and my family's safety into my own hands and it seems like they rely solely on police protection if you know what I mean so thats something to take into consideration. Ultimately God's in control and we do the best we can.

@@nancyfarkas3592 his first instinct is to find his kids and to insure they are safe! You never know what will happen. He is brave, but not stupid! Especially wanting to protect his kids. My parents always told me they would do the same thing. Die for me. To insure that I was 100% safe because you never know for sure if they are or are not

Aaron is the hero in this incident!! All of these kids who went through foster care saw their dad putting himself, repeatedly, in danger, to make sure they are safe. I’m a retired mental health therapist and I watched your video this morning and have been thinking about it all day. You are very brave Aaron and a Papa Bear who protects his family ❤️ what a strong message for your loved ones!

@@nancyfarkas3592 and he put his own safety first knowing his children where not safe and where scared. You have to realise some of these children have had rough background and have never had someone in their corner who would risk your life for them. He showed them no matter what, they are his babies and he will do what ever he can to protect them. If you wouldn’t risk your life for your children that is your choice and I feel sorry for your children, but there is nothing that would stop me trying to find mine in a situation like this

I said that’s your choice if you wouldn’t risk your life and I feel sorry for your children that you wouldn’t - but I would and I certainly understand any parent who would. Being shot doesn’t automatically mean you end up dead - maybe learn some basic facts before you make assumptions. If you have ever had your child in a dangerous situation you would know exactly how quickly things can change and they at suddenly be back in danger (these are children after all they don’t always comprehend the full extent of danger so they may think they are safe but ready are not) and how you never feel they are actually safe and ok until you have laid eyes upon them not do they feel safe until their safe person/ people are with them.

I agree! He seems like such a good big brother to Savannah and Lucas. You can tell how much they love each other and missed all being together. It is definitely noticeable (at least to me) how close of a bond Lucas, Elijah and Savannah have! I hope now they can see each other more often as they seemed to have missed each other a lot.

the fact that Aaron potentially risked his life for the rest of the kids shows how amazing of a parent he is, those kids are so lucky to have you both and i just know that you will protect them all nomatter what
At this point we all agree Aaron is the best father of the year, he didn't even think of his own safety all he think is his children😍 I always believe that something good will come to good people.

I'm so glad your all safe and every took charge that needed your is so nice to see your family on you tubee and my kids when we are going to town that have alot of things going on like Vegas and phoniex and Cali we think of a safety plan if we were to get separated at any point and time and we have where we can track our phones and try to come up with a meeting point if something did happen that we could walk to it or run and get away from the danger you never know now days where you are safe even a grocery store or a Walmart can become unsafe and it's also very important to be able to have all the kids to have phones and emergency contacts when your out exspecially if they got separated but I'm sure you folks have thought about that this is just another sugestion
Despite everything, my favorite part was seeing the blurred heads just existing and being part of the family. Just a really nice reminder that your growing your family and seeing them there and knowing they are enjoying themselves too.
The fact that Aaron put his family’s safety over his own and went out to find the teens is so sweet. We can tell how amazing of a dad he is and just in general how amazing or parents both crystal and Aaron are.
That is absolutely terrifying. I can’t imagine the panic you must feel as a parent hearing about an apparent shooter. I am so glad they are all okay.

i just searched it up, and the article for local news says:” Metro Police originally responded to the call of a man waving a gun around, but once on the scene, police found that there were no shots fired.
Later on, police discovered that the call was a false alarm. There was reportedly a fight at the property and someone yelled “gun” during the fight. No witnesses actually saw a gun.”
so tldr; it was a false alarm? no one was hurt.

I can not imagine how scary that must have been for everyone. Especially the foster kids, having police around must have been horrific for them after what they’ve been through. I’m so happy everyone was safe and there were so many officers there quickly.

Brody loves him some Luke. When they announced the Vegas trip, he ran straight into his arms. When they went to get Brody for breakfast, he ran into his arms. It’s cute!
YES! Especially since Crystal has said that Brody doesn't like to be physical/show and receive affection in that way. So special!
I can't imagine how horrible that experience was for both of you knowing that half of your kids are outside on that crowd. Thank you Halie for staying calm and Aaron for braving that danger... God Bless you all.
Glad the whole family is safe and well; It was heartbreaking to see how much the siblings missed each other. When I saw Lucas and his sister cry on their way back home inside the car, it broke my heart. I hope they get to see each other again, some time soon. Glad at least that they can communicate with each other by phone often. It must be somewhat comforting.
i’m glad Hannah had Halie with her because being by yourself in that situation is very dangerous and scary. Gun violence needs to be stopped especially places where children are at. I was a bystander in a shooting and was shot,and now I am paralyzed, but we all have guardian angels watching and protecting over us. Thankful to hear you all are safe.

Y'all probably already have, but as a suggestion to have an "Emergency Plan of Action" for the whole family in the event of separation. 1. Don't panic 2. Find a safe place, possible meeting area? 3. First opportunity to make contact with each other to get head count 4 Call 911 if in life threatening situation. Praying for you and your family 🙏.
But that’s what they did, every part of that.
They are lucky that their cell service wasn't interrupted. I hope they have a plan that doesn't just rely on being able to reach each other on their cell phones because there are times when cell service can be knocked out or so overwhelmed you can't get through in an emergency.
To add 4. Make sure EVERY little, has a teen with them who has a cell phone.
You are correct, having a plan is very important!!! Sometimes your won’t have time to grab your phone or have service, so relying solely on that isn’t wise!!!

I cried just listening to this scary event every kids shouldn’t be going through. I hope you have a good conversation with everyone and make sure they are mentally ok. Stop gun violence.
I am so sorry that happened to you all, but especially to Hannah and Halie. I was in tears just thinking about how scared they were. I also hated to see Lucas cry so hard after he had to say goodbye to his brother. This one was very sad and scary. I hope you all are feeling better about it, and no one is traumatized.

Just listening to this is terrifying. I cannot even comprehend the panic, stress and trauma that you guys went through. I am so glad that all of you are okay. Also despite all this, I hope Lucas had a good birthday.
My daughter lives in Las Vegas. When I talked to her about this she said that the Adventure Dome is a fun place to visit with kids, but she would never ever recommend staying at that hotel. The hallways are not safe. Evidently the hotel clientele can be questionable and completely separate from the Adventure Dome. She said that Encore at Wynn is so much safer and you can walk to the Adventure Dome. I’m glad you all are ok. I have done vacations with kids in Las Vegas and made it family friendly.
I absolutely love the outdoor water show at the Bellagio!
The Wynn also has a water show! We stayed there earlier this year. Highly recommended

i live in vegas as well !! and i have lived here my whole life and a few times i've stayed at the circus circus hotel and i agree it is not kid friendly which i understand because it's las vegas and it's the strip but the adventure dome is mostly for children and they should have better service and it should be safer with the hotel
Aaron is honestly the best father, not only did he willingly risk his life to get to his children, because he knew if he got there, that would bring them comfort. But little things like him mentioning he’s excited to see the video of Lucas and his brother because he missed it actually to keep the surprise real for Luke
I hope Savannah and Lucas can see their brother again soon!! Their bond is so strong and it broke my heart when they had to leave!! 💕💕

Such a scary thing to go through for any family, but a big family in different groups and different places it would have been so frightening for all. I can not even imagine how scared Aaron and Crystal were for the safety of their children. Never a dull moment, but this is one bit of excitement you can do without.
That must have been so so terrifying to hear your child running away from danger over the phone and it's crazy how those coinsidences happened because they are all safe.
I remember giving my teens a little more freedom each year. It’s terrifying as a parent to not be in the same place as your teens when something happens! Glad everyone is ok. Valuable lessons learned. Thank goodness for all those guardian angels looking out for everyone!

Im so glad you're all safe. We were visiting from Australia back in 2017 with our two young kids and stayed at circus circus and we decided to leave a day early as I had a sick feeling we wernt safe and that night was the Vegas shooting. I'll always pay attention to my intuition for now on. X

Hopefully, you can fly him out to AZ for a long-weekend soon so they can just chill and have a great time at the house. Oh wow that is absolutely terrifying! With everything that had happened in the world over the past several years I cannot even imagine what was going through all of your minds! I'm so happy that everyone ended up safe and okay. Aaron you are truly an amazing father and husband, to not even think about yourself, to just go find your kids no matter what! Possibly putting yourself in danger if it meant saving your kids! I'm glad that you were safe in the end as well, but what a role model you are. That was just another example of what it truly means to be a parent and partner.
On another note.... so sweet brought tears to my eye seeing Savanah and Lucas reunited with their bio brother. Such raw and real emotions. I am so happy that was able to happen, eventhough it was cut a little short, its amazing and memorable for sure! Such great parents to be able to give Lucas that gift.
Also, idk if I could do the fish pedicure! I've always wanted to try when I've seen it, but haven't had the courage yet!

Oh my goodness I am so very sorry, I am born and raised in Henderson, Nevada which is just outside of Vegas, and unfortunately I know that feeling you all felt way to much. I was at the country concert on Oct 1 when 58 people were killed, I have never been so scared in my entire life, literally having to jump over deceased people, the most traumatic night of my life by far. I am so thankful you all are safe and left the Circus Circus. Sadly enough, there is shootings on the strip wayyyyy to often. I have not been back on the strip since Oct 1 just simply out of the terrible memories and horrific things that I will never ever forget. I also believe angels were guarding us that night and my heart and prayers go out to all of you guys, and I truly hope that Lucas still had a great birthday minus that scary situation. The world is a crazy place, but if he stick close to our Heavenly Father, He will call us home when He sees fit. As Crystal said, life is short and forgive and love everyone no matter what. We all make mistakes, people deserve second chances. And I don’t mean you have to have a place at your dinner table for such people, but it is a feeling of relief for yourself when you let go and forgive. It also doesn’t mean you have to forget, but I truly believe the people that participate in these shootings are so unhappy with themselves that they want others to suffer and that is the complete opposite of what God wants. Lift one another up, don’t tear one another down. Like my parents always told me, if you don’t have anything nice to say then say nothing at all. Sorry so long, just want you all to know you are not alone and I sympathize with y’all for having to experience something so awful. I feel for lucas. Its not easy for him at his age to just accept and fit in. I just hope he really does know you all love him. Its hard being a kid in the system especially to the age he was before adoption. He needs extra love and thats okay! We are here for you lucas

I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to live in a country where shootings are a daily occurrence. It didn't occur to me that it was a shooting when I saw the title, as it is not something we deal with in Australia. We had a shooting many years ago , in a public place, but action was taken by our govt. and there hasn't been anything like it since. Shootings, when they do occur, are most likely to be domestic. I'm really sorry you found yourselves in this situation,and so glad everyone is safe.

@@la95921 Just read an update in news. Apparently, there was a fight, and someone yelled, 'Gun'. However, checking footage there was no gun to be found. Scary all the same.
You would be surprised how many guns we have in Australia that aren't legal we also have had many public shootings and deaths last year and this year by guns no where near as many as American but that does not matter it still should be zero

As a British person, I cannot imagine the fear so many people feel in the US because of poor gun control. No child, parent, or person, should ever experience that fear.

I'm so sorry that that situation happened. Hallie was great at taking charge for her and Hannah. So glad they are safe. My heart was so happy that Luke and Savannah got to see their older brother and it broke my heart seeing them cry after, but in a bittersweet way because of how Savannah was comforting Luke. I'm so glad all of you guys are safe. Being caught in a shooting is absolutely terrifying. Crystal is so right about life being short. My aunt unfortunately took her own life a few days ago, and it created a deep sadness in me. It really makes you think about how important it is to cherish the people you love.

I know this may seem strange, but the day that happened I had a dream that I met all of you and asked if you all were ok. I woke up thinking that was strange. But I think everyone is connected in some way. I’m just glad everybody is okay and the angels were looking over you guys 🙏🏼
I know it was stressful situation but I'm glad Aaron cleared up the "McDonalds throwing the teens out" comment. That could have had some negative consequences for the employees etc...

My heart breaks hearing this. It is so devastating to think that somewhere that is designed for families to be like Circus Circus would have this happen I can only imagine how scared all of the kids were I am glad that that's Hallie and Hannah knew to stay together and the other teens stayed together and I'm glad that everybody is safe my heart breaks for Lucas cuz nobody wants something like that to happen on their birthday
I was on a military base when they had an "active shooter" report. They locked my husband, my 2 year old and I all in a room, with a dozen others.. I will say in that situation, I realized I'm a fight not flight person. The report later changed to potential bomb threat.
Gosh, I had chills the entire time you guys were telling the story of everything that had happened. Thank GOODNESS you are all okay. That was such a scary story to hear, and I can only imagine how much more frightening it must have been to actually experience it. Aaron is a hero for risking his life to make sure that all of the kids were okay, and safe. It just comes to show what kind of person he is, and the love he has towards his family. I am so sorry you guys had to face something like that, but as you guys always say in your videos, focus on the positives. Savannah and Lucas got to see their brother, and spend a day with him, and it looked like you guys had lots of fun on all of the rides! Don’t let this unfortunate situation get in the way of those positive moments 💙 Love you guys so much, and I’m so glad that you’re all safe.
I'm glad you all are ok and I have to say Aaron you are the Best Father seriously and so brave I know you will do anything for your kids but dads need to really learn from you.. also can I say how sweet it was that Logan and Brody bought gifts for there brothers how cute.. you 2 are awesome parents and this situation just proves how awesome you 2 are as a team and as parents.. and how well you 2 are raising your kids.. im just so happy you all are ok..
