- I got to ask a question somewhere along the way which is why the camera is shaky for a little bit, I'm very sorry.
- There's a jump cut nearing the end but no actual elipses, I just stopped and started recording within seconds to make sure my phone didn't run out of space.
I travelled all the way from Madrid to see them and it was totally worth it! Since I haven't seen anyone posting the whole thing anywhere I figured I'd do it myself. Hope you all enjoy!

What did Armie say in Spanish around 16:00?
ashleyg325 He was referring to a comment Luca made on the fact that the movie was opening the following day in Spain. He said "tienes una cita en la mañana en España" (you've got a date tomorrow in Spain), meaning that I have to watch the movie again when I get to Spain!
what I understood was "tienes una cita en español, por favor" which doesn't make much sense because it's "you have a date in Spanish ,please" which is not correct in grammar. I couldn't hear very well, actually . His pronunciation was great, though, I didn't nkow Armie could speak Spanish, it's so cute!!!!!
elirufita After listening to it a thousand times I'm now 100% sure he says "Pero aún tienes esa cita en la mañana en España, por favor" which fits the context perfectly and the sentence is actually grammatically correct if we consider mañana as morning and not tomorrow!
your hearing is much better than mine because "pero aun tienes esa cita en la mañana en España, por favor"" makes sense and is correct,just like you said, but since Luca said tomorrow and not the specific word morning I thought I heard Armie saying mañana (tomorrow) not en la mañana (morning) Spanish is curious because we have the same word for two different things, so translations and interpretations can be very tricky.
yeah, now I heard again and Armie says "tienes una cita en la mañana en España! ("you have a date in the morning in Spain") I first heard "español" (Spanish) not "Spain" and of course I didn't hear "en la mañana" (in the morning), now everything makes much more sense finally!! hehehe....Gotta love Armie speaking in perfect Spanish!!!

Here's a question: During the father's monologue in the film, he says "I came close to having what you had, but something always got in the way." Do you think he was referring to a gay relationship or simply real love?
Not sure who you're asking specifically, but from my understanding he was definitely referring to real love, the level of human connection Elio and Oliver had achieved. (I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Mr Perlman was bisexual/pansexual too, though, considering the things he has said and the way he's been written).
Thanks for your feedback. The reason I ask is because when the dad said "I came close ,etc..." the first thing that crossed my mind was that he was admitting to Elio that he's had gay feelings. Plus, as we were leaving the theater some people around me were speculating about the same thing. Also, when Elio asked his dad if he thought his mother knew, and Dad responds "I don't think she does," some have speculated that they were talking about the father's homosexuality. So, some of the dialogue can me interpreted in multiple ways. Plus, when asked about this during interviews, Luca and the actors don't give a direct answer, but leave it up to the movie goer to decide for themselves. Thanks again for your input.
You're absolutely right about the different interpretations! I had not thought about the double meaning of "I don't think she does". In my eyes, this is one of the greatest sides of art when left up to interpretation, each person can make out of the original piece whatever feels more special and true to their own perception of the story. So I'm very glad they didn't give a direct answer, it makes that scene even more meaningful to me. And thank you for sharing your own point of view as well!
@@stevekrause5931I think that’s the reason why they didn’t answer was that they want the viewers to figure out the answer for themselves. As Luca said, it will allow the viewers to show who they are by the kind of answer they have.

Okay, if you could for the love of god not fill my comment section with overanalysis and mindless shipping I'd be very grateful (if grateful is even the right word to use while asking to receive a minimum modicum of common decency from strangers). Take that commentary somewhere else if you so desperately want to push your shipping agenda. I would rather not be continuously spammed with notifications talking about these things, mostly when I specifically asked in the description of the video to not comment anything disrespectful to anyone involved in this video.
