"One application gradient" I really like that tip, I wonder if it would work on painting miniatures? Definitely going to give that a try.
As for cleaning really gummed up old brushes, I had a few that were solid with built up paint and since I had nothing to lose, I put them in some bio strip for a few hours and then carefully brushed them out with a wire brush and dish soap and they came up really, really clean. It didn't do anything to repair the messed up bristles but they were clean and soft and usable again.
Amazing, so amazing! Thank you for supporting us amateurs and yeah I know, there is some part of being an amateur is also very fun, so greatful for the easy to learn tips and thank you for taking the steps in knowing how to speak to all kinds of artists in the same breath. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

I will tell u how to copy and paste.
1 get I little piece of paper and get your thing that u want to trace, and colour it in led.
2 after lift the paper and position your thing where u want, u must flip the paper.
3 then u trace it.
4lift the paper and trace the end product on the drawing paper where your art is.

i don't know if i would call this a hack or not, but when doing highlights & shadows white doesn't have to be the brightest with black being the darkest. think of color temperature. just like warm browns & grays or cool browns & grays, the highlight & shadow color choices can give an artwork more depth & cohesion by means of color temperature. just something to think about besides reflection. now i must try cleaning my kneaded eraser... it's like i can't live without it. i need it!

that's true! What I enjoyed with the fluid was to be able to add whatever light color in that area such as warm yellow tones. its kinda nice to have the option and color on top with the base color in a messier way :P happy holidays to u too

You can also use candles as a wax resist if you cant afford masking fluid.
