There are several Live Photos with specific lighting that show the evidence of that on his arms. Truly heartbreaking. We are very lucky to have this man still in our world.
man sleep token. means so much to me. this song came out and i just went "fucking been there brother". They literally saved my life with there music. I remember doctors asking me questions and my family standing around me after a suicide attempt and the amount of alchohol and cocaine in my system they literally could not understand how i was alive. this band is a sonic hug. first time i heard this band i broke down and let my soul out. protect this band at all costs.
I don't know you brother, but I hope you're in a much better place now. Music is a refuge and Sleep Token is a spectacular one at that.

This is the opener to my favorite album of all time. The ocean theme you mentioned continues throughout the entire album and I think it’s absolutely perfect. With the overall theme of the album being a metaphor for the narrator ‘sinking’ deeper into the ocean as he sinks into depression and deals with loss and other hardships. To me, every single word spoken and every note on this album is perfect. I’ve never had an album have such an emotional impact on me (still when I listen to this day). Not only is the entire album worth listening to, every song is worth diving deep into the lyrics to understand what it’s truly about. I actually think that goes for every sleep token song but this album especially

Crazy choice for an album opener, right? It sets the perfect tone for the rest of the track list, but it could have easily gone the other way for a lesser band. Total masterpiece.

My favourite tune by sleeptoken. it got Everything except for the harsh vocals but i really feel like the atmosphere and drums give that heavy feeling instead of having heavy screams! Filled with emotions.

Speculated to be about self harm and a suicide attempt (“don’t wake me up”), either by cutting, drowning, or both (although drowning may be metaphorical). The lyrics reference water, flooding, drowning, blood, and cut wounds (“bandage up the trenches”).
It seems to then go on to describe the aftermath of surviving the attempt, with hospital staff or possibly family members speaking to the victim:
