- Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic Survival! Today Kosmo and I are finally going to do some big farming of crops and then go adventure to a mechanic's station to get a dressbot and FINALLY a cookbot! I've never had a cookbot before so I'm super excited to finally be able to eat real food in survival! @Kosmonaut

Kan! I Just Discovered you can shoot fertilizer with the vacuum pump, and also shoot chemicals with it too! Maybe you can use it to auto-fertilize your crops!

The dmg in Scrap has "crits" like hard hits, so every enemy has 2 different dmg amounts they can do.
those three hits each do 30 dmg kan was on full health so he shouldn't have died
which confuses me because he did die

If you look at the healthbar it said "30, 30, 20, 30"
Took 4 hits - one from first bot, 3 from second

Nah. I was stuck thinking about how they'd probably be a lot more effective if the top row of pillars was horzontal, pointing away from the center of the farm, so the bots would have to chew through them one block at a time, not that it really mattered.

@@smankey2682 hay isn't a type of plant, it's a way of processing and storing plants- you can have oaten hay, lucerne hay, wheaten hay etc.

"It doesn't change the raid size" he said, well actually it does, I've been growing over 300 cotton and doing to lots of it before taking a break. The first raid is usually 4 haybots and tonebots and if I harvest the second crop before the next raid gets there it will only be 3 tonebots and 2 haybots
You're doing something differently to cause a smaller raid. I would guess that you've only planted some of your crops when the message appears.
The raid level (the bots that are sent) is calculated when that "unauthorized farming detected" message appears and will not change after. It's based on what is planted at that time, and planting more crops or harvesting some does not affect it.
I like how neither of the two acknowledged that the YEETED a hay bot in the wheat field

If i had scrap mechanic, and a friend to play it with, I would be obsessed with it.
When i play a game, watch tv, or read a book, i zone out. Putting myself in the player/character's shoes. Especially so in a game where i don't have a character i am playing as, where im playing as myself.
I would occasionally get stuck in the world of skyrim or fable, and multiplayer games are my fondest memories, interacting with others.
Scrap mechanic would let me make anything i would want for my own story that I create, and being able to do so with a friend would be a breath of fresh air. Especially now in our cursed year of 2020.

Here in Minnesota we called our school buses “cheese wagons” and most of them are more yellow than orange, though some are more orange. That being said the haybots are definitely orange.
As long as the bots can't duck/jump you could make a chest high "porch" around the garden. Like, instead of a vertical wall, do a horizontal wall. More layers for the bots to break through?
This was fun to watch.
You need to plumb the toilet up, a water container and some vaccume pipes. If it looks like it works that's good enough for scrap mechanic
Kosmo’s quest is complete now with overalls and shoes also that haybot went flying on your second trip to the mechanic station hit the haybot miss the woc precision shot
American school busses are almost all yellow, but Canadian ones for example, can come in shades from bright yellow to dark orange

Helpfull tip: Make a wide wall not a tall wall, the more blocks between the boots and crops the better. Make the wall at least 3 blocks off the ground.

Can you hook a cook bot up to a chest? If you can, it might be interesting to setup a farm to automatically grow veggies in the right ratios for the veggie burgers and automatically harvest into the cook bot's chest. Ideally, you'd be able to come home to an always full supply of food.
Also, I feel like they really need to rethink how the cooked foods work, both because none of you have ever found a need to use them and because one of the burgers is SOOO much harder to craft and yet it doesn't seem to have any additional benefits.
Put the second craft bot in the oil pond with some chests and a pump. Infinite gas

Cookbot food is OP, I took forever to unlock it too but worth it when you have some spare kits and metal. Basically lets you carry 4-5 stacks worth of food in one slot, plus they have full heal which has saved me a good few times
If you guys had more supplies, you could make a thicker wall like a platform that would take more time for the bots to reach the farm
You could dismantle the shacks in the roads for scrap wood tho
So guys, before you keep arguing, I looked it up, and apparently you are both correct. It is yellow-orange. If you want to see what I’m talking about, google search: “is a school bus yellow or orange” and it should show you a little info box at the very top saying exactly that.

The people I played Survival with got that cook bot literally as soon as they could. And one of them didn't do anything but cooking after.
10/10 ducks. Would watch all day.
In Australia, where I went to school all the buses are white.
I went to Gympie recently and there all white there as well. 😂

I've seen places where school buses have a washroom as well as overhead storage and actually more comfortable chairs with arm rests.
Explanation of why you got a second raid: There are two ways that unauthorized farming can be detected.
First, "tiles" are randomly checked to find unauthorized farming. Crop level must be over 10 to trigger a raid. This can occur at pretty much any time of the day.
*Second,* a tile that was just raided at midnight will be checked at 4:30 AM. This increments the wave counter (consecutive nights = bigger raids) and calculates the raid level. Any amount of crops will trigger this raid; if the crop level is under 10, *you will still get a raid* of the lowest level.

Kan, you are building your metal fence wrong. Use *Extruded Metal Blocks.*
They give you 10 blocks for every 5 (lvl1) metal blocks . That means 30 scrap metal gets you 40 Extruded Metal blocks.
Scrap Metal Block = 3 Durability (costs 1.0 scrap metal per block)
Metal Block Level 1 = 5 Durability (costs 1.5 scrap metal per block)
Extruded Metal Block = 4 Durability (costs 0.75 scrap metal per block)
You get 1 less durability but you get TWICE the amount out of it to build with so you can give it greater thickness if need be. That can translate to 8 durability if you double layer it since you get x2 the resources from what you are using now. Bang for your block.

If you can build a base wall just like your own survival world you can build a saw wall

Put saw blades across the wall

And watch the farm bots being scared of the saw blades while you shoot with your spuddling gun turret

The color of a school bus is actually "yellow orange", it's a mix of 20-30% yellow then the rest orange.
If you make a horizontal wall it makes it way more effective scrapman did it for awhile before he made a ragdoll floor

School bus yellow is neither pure yellow nor pure orange. Instead, it is a mix of the two, similar to the color of the flesh of a mango.

Well, you could technically say that a bus is actually a yellow mix since yellow is a primary colour used in orange, although in rgb, that yellow is all contained in the green.

Kan should maby make a saw blade thing around props and with bearings and engine to keep props safe
why not put the wall on like pistons or something and at the base put the strongest blocks available to hold it in place so it can't be destroyed very easily, for example make 4 legs 1 in each corner, make it bigger then just 1 block maybe 2x2 or something like that... with the thick blocks, and pistons to lift from that base at a level high enough it can't be damaged by any bots and shielded at all angles and have the wall lift up when the farm isn't in use, and drop down when not in use. that way it'll take probably less blocks then an entire fence, and you can get it out of harms way during these unessesary raids have like a fail safe incase the legs get destroyed of course but you know, something that can just be moved etc.

with the school bus thing upon 30 mins of research (more like 10) i found that the average school buses color is closer to orange than yellow but still very close although most depictions of buses have a yellow color to it
edit: the light that you see the bus in as well can also change how you perceive the color therefore things like time of day when the picture was taken and other factors can change how you see the buses color
School buses can be any color depends on the place you go and what the school decides its buses color will be (public school is usually the yellow orange)
