Late 80's hustlers dream whip..Patrick loved driving it so much the studio sold it to him after filming..He actually drove it still before he passed away
I just bought this car. Im so happy with it. I think of Swayze everytime I drive it. Of course mine has a kenwood excelon bluetooth system with alpine type r 12 inch sub amd monoblock staggered 18 inch AMG rims...But it still has the fucking soul of this gangster whip. RIP Swayze.
There are some films that should never be remade , this was one of them they got everything absolutely right the first time around. Dalton, you are missed.
I freaking love this car!! 5.5L 296 HP / 335 LB-FT V-8 that could do 0-60 in under 6.9 seconds bone stock back in the 80's! What a machine! I always hated the last part of the video, even though it looks cool lol... Anyway, the MB 560 SEC styling still looks amazing today IMO! Awesome movie as well, of course!
A Blaupunkt with a tape deck was considered seriously hot property back then in a car dashboard. In the 90's, it was the CD player and then the 5-10 disc CD Changer. My Dad's old Merc had the exact same speedometer dials as well as well.
The Mercedes they destroyed was not the original 86' used from the beginning of the movie. It was the 1983 380sec or 500sec..Just look closely at the pre face lifted front end and older headlights
The one got destroyed is earlier NA model with non-aero headlights with no headlight wipers. The second one is post 1986 model (or European model) when US regulations allowed aerodynamic headlights and headlight wipers are present.
When Dalton sacrificed this fine automobile, rather than the junker he used to commute to the Double Deuce, I knew he’d do whatever was necessary to take out Brad Wesley.
I loved this car from the movie (saw in 1991) and bought a 380SEC in 2003 ... unfortunately it had too many problems n I had to let it go after 2 years - But I Had one ... and it was bcoz of THIS great Movie :)
I cringed when he closed the door by the window!!! Don't do that to baby!!! Those are big heavy doors & its a solid car but you are asking for trouble! I have a Euro 83 500 SEC...the one & only beast! RIP Patrick Swayze, Seems he personally owned 2 SEC's!
One thing that always made me laugh about this flick, aside from the idea of why have one broken bone when 10 will do, is how they gave the pyrotechnic guy WAY too much money to play with!

2:04, John Doe using a shotgun to scratch his back! Also, 2:29, John bouncing his leg is pretty funny! And who the hell let Terry Funk wear those awful boots??
I thought it was a shell and wasnt the actual mercedes coupe? The car was about $80k back then and getting a shell made and put over a different, similar car would have been cheaper surely.
The Mercedes in the film was purchased by Patrick Swayze at the end of production and he drove it until he passed away. It now belongs to a guy in NY and he has a video on it.
I have one. Best car I have ever owned. Only mines got Kenwood Excelon Bluetooth, 19 inch AMG monoblocks with Michelin Summer rubbers, eurospec 300 hp, and a meaaannnn alpine type r 12 inch sub in the trunk. Beautiful.
Wished he would've trashed the Buick not the Mercedes. But remember in real life he had another identical c126. So in the movie they messed up his windshield on the buick, his car antenna and also slashed his tires. So the Benz was the only car he been driving.
@Mark Morrissey Hmmm. Not bad. Pretty revving. But it should have had a female driver drive the 1965 Buick Riviera and it obviously should have included pedal shots for the female driver.
WTF?! hahahaha... That big guy, with a moustache and curly hair, who was previous bouncer, he's wearing.... WHITE boots...!!! hahahaha... Jeans in his boots... his white boots...! WTF?!
terrible sound editing. i know for these movies that they add the sounds for doors opening and closing, engine noise and other things after filming usually with stock recordings. this w126 sounds like a crappy 89 crown vic

And the first 560s had even more power than that!
I bought it.
The best Mercedes Benz coupe EVER ! C126
I bought it.
Epic scene, epic movie, epic car and great actor!
I bought it.

More likely he given out the Rivera to his farmer landlord. He does this every time he leaves the cooler gig with the Mercedes.
2:36 that shot was so well done
M-E-R-C-E-D-E-S!
my friend have the same never get old even better :)
Don't worry... They didn't destroy the 560 SEC. They destroyed a 380 SEC instead.
Bad enough

thank you Mike Stanton for bringing me here

2:23 NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
one of patricks best movies!!! nice car too!! patrick r.i.p.
Waste of a damn fine automobile
He close the door by the window...No can do!
It's actually kinda funny the way the scene of him entering & leaving the Double Douche was mashed together.

What only a 83 380 SEC...FYI there were no SEC 500's offered in 83 to US market so if it was a 83 500 sec it was a euro & that would be a cryin shame!
Azie fazion had this benzo
Classic!
Someone needs to post this in High Def, darnit!
2:04, John Doe using a shotgun to scratch his back! Also, 2:29, John bouncing his leg is pretty funny! And who the hell let Terry Funk wear those awful boots??
Really badass!!!
rick flairs son owns this now
How did he open that car door with his bare hands? I still love the movie.
What a waste of a beautiful Mercedes.
I see your Mercedes and raise you a pinto

1986 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC
Morgan (Terry Funk) tucking his pants into his boots - wonder why that never caught on?? 🤔🤔🤔
1:03 OH, A MERCEDES! Lol, youre going to get ur ass kicked.
Wished he would've trashed the Buick not the Mercedes. But remember in real life he had another identical c126. So in the movie they messed up his windshield on the buick, his car antenna and also slashed his tires. So the Benz was the only car he been driving.

Hey hotshot, what's wrong with Detroit cars🤦🏻♂️
Look how small he is compared to the steering wheel. All actors are shrimps... RIP patrick.
hahah he's not short its just the steering wheel on those old mercs is like a ferris wheel!
He was pretty small, but....that steering wheel is massive
What's a woman know?? Hush up and wash dishes
Swayze was 5'10
$5,000 up front
