A cell consists of exactly four edges. Beware of collinear edge segments
Connection edges must attatch to two adjecent corners
The grid must have four corners
Every row in the grid must have the same number of cells
No holes

What did you use to render at the end?
Why not using shape bender it's much easier than flowify in this case ! Thanks for the tutorial keep up the good work:)
i agreed with you, but it can be done even more quickly with Truebend (in this case) checkout this video : czcams.com/video/r2TzliIu3Nw/video.html
i was also decide to do this with Shape bender but Sketchup 19.0 was not compatible with Shape bender. fortunately now Sketchup 19.2 is compatible with Shape bender maybe i record the video with shapebender too..

It's SketchUp's offset tool not a plugin.
What key while double click another group get auto hide? (Sorry my english so bad)
From here you can enable or disable this option. Top Menu bar > View > Component Edit > Hide Rest of Model

preferences/shortcuts/make groups: command/G done :P please do that :P
