This walkthrough of the Patch 5.2: Troves of the Thunder King Scenario explains how to complete the scenario and "In the Hall of the Thunder King", the related achievement.
I for one appreciated the overview video, as it is my first time running the scenario. Most of the other youtube videos were about maximizing chests/time, and assumed some familiarity with the instance.
Can you- if you aren't already, make an updated video guide on the last 6 bosses in Throne of Thunder please. I learn very visually so the written guides are very difficult for me to read and very time consuming. It would help a ton as I will be starting to raid Throne of Thunder with my guild soon. Thank you for your time and consideration. Also thank you for all the guides you have already they have helped me a lot. Keep up the good work. PS- I love the accent, lol.
The way it was described is that it is possible to get more than one key per week. However, you can only loot it off of a MOB once per week. But things like the chest you get at the and of the dailies, and thunder king chests scattered around the island can give you more. But it is dynamic in that once you get one key that week, it is supposed to be very rare to get any more. To my knowledge if you do get another key you can run it again, and you can only run it if you have a key.
Well, I got 4 keys this week, and completed it on my 4th run. I watched this video right before my 3rd run because before this I was only going for the chests, not the final boss. Ret pally with low gear. It's hard to complete: I had 4 mobs on me at the end when I talked to Tenwu and 15 seconds left. Didn't get time to loot anything but 1 golden chest in the middle of the run. As someone said before, it is much more profitable from what I see to just loot chests than to get to the end. Have fun!
Good explanation apart from one fact: Unless your run is flawless (like in the video) it is by far more profitable to just loot all the chests that you can, if you get trapped even once it will slow you down to the point where you will not be able to loot anything even if you get to the boss and kill him.
I have one question - Frost rune traps. Do they break after damage done on skumblade pillager? Cause he's been slippin' away from me for couple of weeks now...
I wish I had read the comments here first. The advice to ignore all the chests is really bad for your first run. I just left empty handed as I ran out of time while fighting the boss. What a waste!!
Ya know, you're just explaining a simple scenario to tons of people and to many of them english is a foreign language.you don't have to speak formal, you're just guiding them through a 5min one man dung. , make it as simple as possible, that's what this event is supposed to be ;)
Hello again old friend. Greetings from 2024 where this has become relevant content again
This guide still works in MoP Remix 11 years later ! Many thanks (from the future I guess 😅)

impressive video
The large stone mobs you were fighting (before the boss room) - you can kill them by dragging them onto the tile traps
I like how these guides never show where the hell the entrance is.

If you talk to the guy stan ding at the door at the end (if you kill the final boss) you get 2 keys

Is there like some super rare secret chest somewhere where you can only get to with some of the bought items
Treasure Goblins! \o/
how many keys do you get for reaching the end?
I always thought i have to do all 4 things for the achievment at once -.-
