Thanks you for your comments! I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. Thanks in advance to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Cheers and stay safe everyone!

There is something magical about being able to fix your own machine. And that manufacturers make the machines with that idea in mind.
Yep, it's a well engineered bike and a little fiddling didn't upset it. Honda's Thai bikes are around this height so it's probably designed to handle a range of geometries.
I don't even own a motorcycle ,but this channel is brilliant.
Thanks! Maybe I'll inspire you buy one :)
@@DifferentSpokesTV 100% inspiration.
Nothing beats being able to touch ground properly. Ive dropped my 300l so many times (March ) so no parts were available until recently. Keep up your vids Bro thanks for helping
As a 6.4, I always wondered why they make adventure bikes for tall people but include suspension that is too weak to support tall people properly. And vice versa is true for shorter people.
Good point!
Honda seems to confuse. They have a shorter version already, the Thailand version. If they bring that over as a 3rd option and stiffen the suspension for standard version to support tall folks, that would cover all walks of life.
Yamaha is confused, too. The XT250 is the perfect modern (EFI) adventure bike for shorter riders or those who simply prefer to use their feet in obstacles but comes with the crappiest suspension.
I just lowered my T7 World raid with lowering links, I'm so pleased that I did it, it's really boosted my confidence at low speeds and at standstill, the handling and riding position is the same and the bike feels much lighter and more manageable. I lowered it 40mm on the links and 18mm on the forks, I left the pre load the same but will have the option now to wind it up a bit if I load it up with panniers. The bike now feels great. I'm 6.1" so not short but it's made a huge difference.
I honestly love your videos. Keep them coming, they serve us well.
Did the same to my 300L. I went to 15mm in the front (in case she wants to try that) and it handles very well. And now we can ride through Leaves of Grass with even more confidence! Good vid brotha.
Hi guys... I'm 5'-6", 140 Pounds and I've been riding my crf250l for about a year now. That bike is very tall and heavy for me. I just ordered that same lowering link that you put on your bike. I hope it will correct my problem with this bike. Thank you for the video. Fingers crossed...
I put the moose racing lowering link on my CRF250L. I have a 31” inseam and this worked brilliantly! No appreciable drawbacks. It’s a no brained.
This was super helpful as i have a friend who is thinking of buying one !!Thanks
Honda was listening….Welcome to the CRF300LS 😎
But no one has any :((( i ended up getting a 300l after not being able to find one for 6+ months
@@kiddfpv I’m still looking for a 300LS , and have short legs so I don’t know about the 300L , I am 5’9” and 30” inseam so the seat height is my concern .
Is there any chance of LS In Europe? Can't find any!
This is a great video. I have a 300L and not interested in lowering it. But I loved the narration and production value. Well done, great video, happy riding!
Yup, Walt always told everybody how much he enjoyed his Honda CB300L Rally….especially after he lowered it!
I think I saw a picture of him on one somewhere. Could be wrong :)
Bike came out great and fits her perfectly. I have a Rally 300 on order right now..due in 2 weeks [ they claim !] Im 5'10 235lbs...Worry about it proving too tall, but glad to see lowering is easy !
Nice work. My friend lowered her KLX300 and it seems to function just fine.
I’m 67 years old and back in the 70’s , motocross or trail motorcycles were much lower than they are today and we used to jumps those motorcycles ,take the woops just as well, maybe not as fast as today’s bike but we did regardless, so in my opinion losing ground clearance over losing control of the bike because you can’t reach the ground is the choice i would make especially if it gives the rider more confidence and you are mostly going to ride in trails and not take huge jumps like the pro do … thanks for your video it was very informative 😎
Thinking the XT250 would be the perfect starter for my girlfriend. Low weight, seat height and good for the trail 👌🏻
yup my girl is super short 5'1" and sat on a xt250 just perfectly
i really wanted the honda 300l but its extremely taller
@@dznuttzonyachin7499 I'm a male at 5"1 with a 28" inseam. I'm hoping the XT250 is a good fit for me. If I keep hearing good things like what you just said, I'm going to start shopping.
Not sure how big she is but there's always the xr150l. It's a great looking bike and tops out at 60mph.
It's a great bike for the 250. I went with the 300l because the specs were all around better but man this bike feels too tall for me and I'm 5'9
Brilliant presentation and what a beautiful countryside… 👍
Thanks! I love Ontario.
Great video ! Entertaining. Wild how much that thing looks like an xt250 after that modification, heh
Exactly!! I lowered my WR didn’t notice anything. One would be able to notice a difference if you were maybe a pro or experienced rider. But if your novice &/or trail or gravel road rider lowering your bike is fine. Forget the nay sayers.
Yep, this is not a bike you race down the trail, just ride to get where you’re going. In that capacity there’s no difference.
My wife just bought a 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan S 650, she is in love.
That's a great bike. It really can do everything including keep up with the big cruisers. Congrats!
Great real world video, thanks for posting.
Awesome! I'm a bit heavier so I have been looking at the Rally Raid Stage 1 210mm suspension set :)
This really helped. I purchased a used 300 Rally from a taller rider who had added a comfort seat....making it an inch taller yet. I am 5'3" its fair to say the 4-hour ride home was challenging. My toes 'just' scrapped the ground with the bike upright....unfortunately once I veered off the freeway towards home, I dropped the bike at my first red light in traffic (whoops!) I did not get my hip twisted and foot planted for the stop. Luckily I had some friendly motorist leap to the rescue and help me back up...I rode off with much to think about, some bruises and a lil embarrassed. After that experience, I'm keen to start making some mods to lower it for my short-ass legs..!
sigh... so I just walked away from my 300L preorder :( at 5'6" 125lb, the 300L felt absolutely GARGANTUAN to me. not only the height of the bike, but the width as well. the whole package just felt massive.
put a leg over a klx230, and an xt250 - and these were pretty much the only two dual sports (haven't found a tw200 to sit on yet) that felt even remotely size appropriate for me...
so the dream of the 300L is pretty much dead now. i'm back on the waitlist for the 300LS, but i imagine it's going to be the same deal - just shorter lol. just feels like such a huge bike. 9 months on the waitlist just to walk, shucks. still enjoying my surron though!! maybe i should be looking at the ultra bee, if they ever bring that to the US...
I have a 30” inseam, and my Tenere 700 was just too tall for my comfort. I bought adjustable lowering links from Soupy’s and adjustable kickstand from T-Rex. Now I can plant my feet. I also adjusted the forks for lower suspension and torqued everything. My Yamaha dealer is making fine tune safety check as I write this. ADV bikes are tall and top heavy. I may also get a smaller ADV or dual sport for local rides off-tarmac. Yamaha XT250 has the lowest seat if that is a concern for shorter riders.
I’m 5’5” and I lowered my seat about 1” and it was enough for me. Made a massive difference. I’m not doing a link as I do a lot of high speed street riding and it’s not worth the issues you can have when doing so. I’m not 100% set on not doing it but I’ve heard nothing but negative reviews from pros about doing it.
Maybe get training wheels ?
@@joecamel6835 what??
A deserve 1k likes, I hope it helps as much your vids are helping me
Cheers from Argentina
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Confidence = more fun. Great video.
Great video. I'm going to do something similar if I get this 300L Rally to replace my street bike.
I’ve lowered my Tenere 700. It its certainly helped avoid a drop multiple times.
Thanks ! May come in handy as I'm also just shy of 5'7" and am considering getting into off-road biking.
Great! You should research lowering options before you buy the bike.
I’m right at 5’ 7” (tippy toes with both feet down) and the CRF300L is right at my comfort limit. I would say the Rally would need to be lowered for me to comfortably ride it.
I’m 5’9” and have a Zero Fx. It’s a little tall in the rutty stuff. I’m on the wait list for a 2023 Rally.
I think I’ll follow what you did on the lowering kit and leave the seat alone.
I lowered a 2005 R6 and still never ran out of clearance even on track, steering slightly slower though.
The 300 looks great 👍
Thanks. Good luck scraping anything on an R6. I wouldn’t even come close.
I lowered mine 5 inches with a soupy adjustable link and low seat from seat concepts. 25mm drop in the front. Works great for my spouse.
How tall are you bro ?
Enjoyed that video 👍🏼
I’m glad you liked it.
Great video. At only 5'7 I have found the best bike for me so far is my KTM 790 Adventure S. The Adventure R was just too tall me.
Yes, that’s a pretty inseam friendly bike and still really good off road.
Just rode the new pan america with adjustable ride height. This is why it could be a truly game changing technology. It works great. Just felt like having a low bike 👍.
Yeah, I’m sure BMW is going to jump on that train soon as well.
summer of 2020 i went to a trip trough norway and got a 2010 tenere 660. super fun single cylinder machine, had to lower it abt 3cm for me to flatfoot it
Nice! We never got those in Canada. I’m glad Yamaha brought the 700 here.
Thanks for the info. Enjoyed
Thanks for watching!
Nice job🤙🏻
Thanks ✌
Nice drone shots!
Thanks!
I put the link on mine and I like it, have a few 300l videos with mods
I believe from researching on you tube ect ,that installing rally raid ect suspension upgrades will increase the seat height even more .
Just a thought for shorter lighter riders , why not buy a couple of heavy shot put balls ..Mount them in a container on rear rack …this would compensate for the suspension mods that have increased the seat height😊.
As a prospective buyer of this bike I think it quite mad , that an average weighted rider has to spend another $1500 once purchasing the new bike …just to be able to go over a jump.
Anyway hope the idea above can help someone .
Thanks - I am 5' 7" also. Bob
Taken delivery of a 300 Rally today here in New Zealand. I am 5'7" and have a 29" inseam crotch to floor so I found the Rally hard to mount due to how high it is before you can get some weight onboard vertically downward to make the squishy suspension sit down to its natural height and then once mounted I am tippy toes. I can manage using the bike this way for 80% of road situations and you simply plan the remaining 20% to keep safe. However it does not make the use of the bike pleasant and having to worry about how you may deal with certain destinations or stops, which side of the bike the road may be lower, thinking ahead of time, I don't want it like this. Thick boots help, but I am getting a "seat concepts" seat and will keep the original for future resale, also going to try the Koubalink. This should be enough as per the above video.
Thank you for great video, I am ready to instal Kouba Link on my Rally now. What hand guards did you use? Its hard to find these without doing modification.
I have a CRF300L Rally arriving in 3 weeks. I will need to lower it. How did you lower the front end? Thanks, great video! Lee
You could also change the front wheel to a 20" or even a 19".
I just got my 300L Rally, and while I am 6ft tall, I have short legs at a 30 inch inseam. So the bike believe it or not is a bit tall for me. I tiptoe while on it, however I only have 50 miles on it, and I am hoping that the suspension will settle a bit more and allow me to flat foot it.
Greetings,
As always another brilliant detailed video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸
Would you provide me with the link to purchase the lowering link, thank you so much for assisting me.
Keep producing more videos.
Did you have to adjust the chain?
Thanks
Thank you very much for that helpfull video. I am concidering that bike and might also need the lowering kit. My jeans lenght (inseam) is thirty. Is this camparable to the one of your Wife? Thank you.
Outstanding video. Some people seem shocked that you would try it yourself but that depends on your background. If you are an office person I can understand your reservations, but no harder than changing out an engine on a 707.
I like the way you focused on the results, well demonstrated by Brook. One question, has it noticeably altered the lean on the side stand to effect stability. May be worth shortening the side stand by a 1 or 2 cm (to be determined) and while you are at it weld a bigger foot on it.
Thanks for posting and keep them coming.
Thanks, and it's a lot easier than changing the engine on a 707. It's a 25 minute job. You ask a great question that I should have addressed in the video. The stock sidestand was way too short in my opinion and the bike leaned too much. Lowering it actually made it better. It may be a tad too upright now and you have to be careful not to park it on a slanted surface, but it's fine in most situations.
Excelent question. :-)
@@DifferentSpokesTV Excelent answer. :-)
At 6’4” I never had a need to lower my own bike but I did help a buddy lower a Triumph Trophy with lowering links.
Glad to see you got Brook sorted out on the Rally, no worst feeling then realizing your new motorcycle purchase is a totally miss.
Yeah, I was expecting to have to lower it when I bought it. Surprisingly I’ve been bouncing it over rock gardens the last couple of days and still never bottomed anything.
Great video. Thanks 🙏🏻. I’m the same height as Brooke with a 30” inseam and thinking of purchasing a CRF300 Rally as well. what’s her inseam and what’s the seat height of the CRF300 Rally now?
I want to do the same thing but I travel with soft cases behind. Have you ever travel with heavy bags behind? Because, I wonder maybe tire might hit fender after adding little bit more weight🤔
Love how you take care of your wife’s ride. She’s a lucky gal. My gf started on a used 2003 HD Heritage Softail, dry weight of 738 pounds 1450 CC. She road it for 4 years and when she bought her next bike she got a then NEW 2014 same model bike. She loves her cruiser and at 5’5” she flat foots it. I had her try my Africa Twin….she did NOT like the height of that at all. I hope I can get her to try the CRF L Rally when it comes in at our dealers, maybe I’ll convince her to give it a try.
Awesome! That's a monster bike to start out on. I'm impressed. The Rally is definitely tall but with a lowering link it may fit. It's also much easier to ride in the dirt than any other adventure bike being so light.
That's because people want all new and shiny, no matter if it suits them, and ignore there're some old enduro bikes which are low height in stock: Serrow, Sherpa, AX-1 and some else.
When you mount or dismount a bike you should do it like a horse the foot peg being your stirrup and when you come to a stop one foot should be on the back brake any way , there's no need to flat foot dispite current opinions .
I'm just curious if you had to modify the kickstand
The 300L and 300rally have loads of ground clearance anyway.
So lowering it hardly impacts the off road ability. Unless you are riding very hard in very difficult situations of course
After lowering. The side column is too long. Is there a short side column?
Back in 1998, I use to have a 1994 Honda NX 350 Sahara, which was also my second bike ever. I'm 1640mm tall, with short to average legs, while the Sahara had an 835mm tall seat. Needless to say, on a flat pavement I could barely touch the floor with my toes on both sides, but I was determined to keep the bike. I managed to make it work most of the times, but I dropped the bike twice, once slowly getting off the sidewalk to the street and losing my balance, and another time, during a mild rain, when I stopped near the curb, on an incline, because of a stoplight.
If the first time was a hard crash without witnesses, the second one was a painfully slow defeat to gravity, where I jumped from the seat and tried to catch the bike's fall, only to not being able to, with people yelling and honking horns to commemorate my shameful defeat - and that was in the asphalt. I can only imagine how hard it would be in the mud.
Kudos to you and Brooke for keeping it real and keep it going. 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks, that's a very vivid story. Fortunately tip-overs on dirt come with fewer consequences. I drop my bikes on dirt all the time. Someday I'll have to put together a video of just my falls.
@@DifferentSpokesTV oh, pal, I'm all for that video compilation! Normally those falls aren't caught by cameras, but if you have a bunch of them registered, why not? It would make for a very entertaigning video!
What was the Seat height after you lowered the Honda
u can measure the lowering link from the axle nut to the seat or to any point just like checking and setting sag and preload.... but just use a measuring tape, ur s.o.l if u didnt take a measurement before the install but measure from that same point after the install and presto.... you should see that 1.75" drop difference... take care but one question is the bike powerful enough for a grown man with offroad experience but hasnt ridden in a while? ive riden but been saving for the perfect bike... looking for something supermoto or adventure-oriented... basically street legal dirtbike... amy recommendations other than the drz?
Thanks for the tip. The bike has plenty of power for me off road. On pavement it's not nearly as powerful as my Tenere but it depends what you value more. If you're mostly off roading the Rally is much lighter and better off road. The Tenere is the better all around bike but takes more skill and finesse to ride well off road. I'm also going to upgrade the suspension on the Rally as it is too bouncy and soft.
I installed links on my DR-Z 400 and it made a world of difference! Much more confident now. I come from a motocross background and I was wondering how to set up the rear shock with these links installed? The "sag" setting has been taken out completely and I don't know where to set the spring preload for my light weight of only 130lbs. Anyone have thoughts?
While it's normal to want to lower an off road bike, it's a good idea to improve your skills to where you can handle a high bike.
I can't flat foot my enduro, 38 inches or so, and I just got used to shifting to one side and using one foot only. This technique can be used off road even on a "low side" with the back of the knee on the seat, stretching my other foot way down to the ground.
Granted, the 300 is a heavy bike, but after some training, she should try it for a few weeks back "high" again.
Yeah, but I also don’t want Brooke to psych herself out and get discouraged. She’s had a bad concussion from a mountain bike crash and is worried about a repeat.
@@DifferentSpokesTV fair enough. Start with what you can manage.
Truth is, most folks who venture into off-road are looking to become 'trail-bosses'. Rather, it's to allow a degree of freedom of exploration and adventure on established trails that don't require masterful technique that really deserve years (lots of off-road miles) to refine...
Yes, most are just the occasional week-end road warrior trying to get away from a week's worth of life in a city. 🤙
Hi, I'm thinking of getting a 40mm lowering link on my Honda CRF250L.
Seat cut down, but need a bit more.
Question ... Did you need to alter the side stand?
Could you just put smaller diameter tires on it and shorter springs?
Did you have to cut down the sidestand?
Great video. I’m 5’8” with a 30” inseam and my 55 year old body could not take the pain of mounting & dismounting the CRF300 Rally.
Dropping the forks & Kouba link may just cure that.
I know the feeling. I'm 5'9" and 58 yrs old and my biggest issue was mounting and dismounting. My hip doesn't seem to be as flexible anymore. Anyway, I did the same modification. Kouba link and raise the forks. I'm a happy camper now. no issues getting on or off.
Hey
Can i use all the gear and parts that are for the 250 for the 300 ?
Thank you for this video. I have a lowering link, also for my rally. When lowering the front, my concern is how much do I loosen the front 8 bolts for the fork to come, but not too much? Any ideas are appreciated?
To adjust the fork legs, I'd support the bike with a stand under the skid plate and remove the front wheel. Once that's done you can adjust each fork leg one at a time. Loosen the 4 bolts and slide the fork up, then tighten and repeat the same on other side.
Now that the 300LS exists, I'm wondering if it's better for a shorter Rally enjoyer to mod the 300LS to be more like the Rally, or to lower the Rally.
Does the front insertion also have to drop 1 cm?
Did you have to change the kick stand after lowing the Rally?
Good video. I'm toying with getting this bike, have you ridden it fully laden with camping gear etc?
By the way, I'll subscribe to your Insta page too. Happy riding.
Are you still using the hero 5 I am thinking about getting the new 12.
Thailand models, where the crf300 is manufactured, come lower from the factory. Is it so difficult to ship them lowered, for those so inclined!??
Or at least offer a factory lowering option? Honda needs to step up.
I am pissed at Honda, not to bring the Thailand version over as a 3rd option (or at least offer a lowering kit). The Thailand version is 2 inches lower, perfect for shorter people. And keep the standard version for tall people. Triumph is the only mfg that I know offering both standard and lower version for their bikes.
That's probably a decision made by Honda Canada, or Honda USA if that's where you live. I suspect that they see most of these bikes being purchased by males and don't want excess inventory sitting in showrooms.
The crf 300 rally in Thailand has a height seat of 35.2 inches and the crf 300 in Philippines (is made in Thailand) has height seat of 34.72 inches in Canada the height seat is 880 mm (34.6 in.)
In conclusion de South East version (from Thailand) is higher than the Canadian version
An upside world🤣
👍
I have put the Kouba link in a CRF300L just now. I also have 30 mm bar risers. How far did you raise the tubes trough the top clamp on your wife's bike? What do you think would be the safe maximum? Thank you for this video.
If it's like my KLX250 you can clearly see the maximum line, as the forks are machined slightly differently where they are meant to grip. Just don't go beyond that gripping area and you'll be fine. On my KLX that meant I could lower the front by just over 1".
Curious what is her inseam ? Got a chance to sit on a Rally today and I was also tippy toe. Not very comforting. But I love the bike. It really is a better choice than the XT250 in my opinion. Even though the XT seat is considerably lower.
Don, I was wondering the same. What is your inseam?
It's 31 inches for Brooke. She can almost flatfoot a stock XT250.
It's 31 inches for Brooke. She can almost flatfoot a stock XT250.
Thanks for your video. It's very clear. Can you tell me how tall is your wife? I'm thinking to buy a CRF300L for my wife but I have some doubt about the seat. Thanks you in avance for your reply.
How tall is Brook? I'm 5'3 and want one but just as brook the bike height is bit much for me. I ride strictly dirt bikes and was looking into the TW200, however, want something with more power and I just love Honda's. That bike is really nice and great video.
Thanks! Brooke is 5'6.5 with a 31 inch inseam.
@@DifferentSpokesTV Might wanna re-measure that inseam seems impossible , i'm 5' 11" with a 31 inseam and my legs are on the long side a little even for my height .
I’m glad that this worked out for her. I sold my Africa Twin and bought a Himalayan. Yeah, it’s a trade off but I’m enjoying a bike that fits me. Fit is very important.
lol shrimp
@@joecamel6835 Yeah, I’m 5’4” and 67 years old.
Yeah,,,, for me, I wouldn't have bought it....or would've had it done by a shop. It's exactly what I've had to do on my '81 Yamaha XS1100.... they were made for "BIG, TALL" Guys,,, I'm only 5'10", so, when I got the bike, I sat on it and was on the balls of my 2 feet. Well, the guy at my local shop , "Mike" , seen and lowered the front triple tree some 1.5 ", and bought, installed 2 rear shocks, that were about 2.25" shorter.......it made the bike look better,,, (kinda like "Chips",,,, 80's TV show). and feel so much safer, both of my feet are safely on the ground.
The bike performs exactly the same as it did before so I'm not worried.
Im 14 and 5.5" but the rally felt okay exept the seat was too wide and square, intended use was for motocross but would of ended in disaster if i actually hit the trails on it!
I know you mention her height, but what is your wife's inseam? I see some 5'8 people with smaller inseams, and some 5'4 with larger ones. So, just trying to figure what kind of fit she's experiencing.
In 2013 I was looking for a street and dirt bike. I wanted to put both feet on the ground when on the bike. I could not find anything. everything was way to tall. Even the little 125s were to tall. Was about to give up. walked into a BMW bike shop. The had a lowered f700gs. it fit me bought it on the spot. knew nothing about the bike. I have loved it to this day, only thing it is heavy 480 lbs wet..
May I know the center-to-center length of the koubalink? Thanks
130mm i believe
Fat guy with a 28" inseam here. I've been fine with cruisers and old JSM. I have lowered my vstrom 1000 with a -1" rear shock and haven't had an issue at all with it on the road. But the bike is still tippy toe for me and too heavy to learn to off road with. I also always have to add bar risers, as my arms are also short.
My one question about the Rally: how is it at highway speed on hills? I mean, it ain't a liter bike, but does it hold it's speed enough that you don't get run over? I'm in Lethbridge Alberta, which means prairie highways, coulees (damn big river hills) and an hour ride to the Rockies. I'm worried that a 300 would be too small for my next bike.
Thanks! The Rally ain’t no VStrom but you can cruise at 120kph no problem. Up a hill you might need to knock it down to 5th as 6th is an overdrive. It’ll get where you want and it’s an excellent bike to learn off roading on. Definitely don’t want to take the VStrom off road.
I have the same inseam and am new to motorcycles. I'm looking more into dual sport or adventure bikes, but am not familiar with all the models out there. What options have you come across that work best for our height? Thanks in advance!
@@josephedwardmartinez Anything that has off road ability, or pretentions, is tall. This is to give seating (feet under you, so you can stand), ground clearance, and taller front tire. But the tricks (seat and lowering links) used here are doable on most bikes.
I think the Yamaha XT250 naturally comes the lowest, but lowering the Honda CRF300L or Kawasaki KLX300 or KLX230 would bring it into similar height as the XT.
@@TerenceKaplan i appreciate the feedback! I’ll definitely hone in my sites to the XT250 then! I appreciate it.
Or you can change the rims and tires to 19"-17".
I am 5'11" and I have similar reach issues with my DRZ400E. I am having the rear shock internally modified to to drop the seat height and slipping the forks through the triple clamps to keep the balance front/rear the same.
Buy a slackline and practice your balance between two trees, build core strength.
So...........no turbo 'BUSA for Brooke? hahaha
For those complaining why the Thai version is not brought to North America region here some facts:
The crf 300 rally in Thailand has a height seat of 35.2 inches and the crf 300 in Philippines (is made in Thailand) has an height seat of 34.72 inches in Canada the height seat is 34.6 inches (880 mm).
In conclusion de South East version (from Thailand) is higher than the North American one
An upside world🤣
Wait I'm 5'55 and weigh 120 and I fit 2 feet the rally isn't that much taller than the L
Is it safe to modify motorcycles thT are already tested by manufacturer's pro bikers
If you ride the bike at the very edge of their performance envelope I'd be hesitant. If you're just tooling around on it it's probably fine.
My wife had a lowered CRF250L. We did not shorten the side stand. She had to be a little careful when parking it due to this. How is the stock side stand length working with the lowered CRF300L Rally?
Well the stock side stand is already too tall for the bike at stock height, so I would assume not good.
