- The wait is over... the ultimate Blackriver Trucks 3.0 review is here! In this video - we will review the Blackriver Trucks 3.0 - the latest fingerboard truck available on the market.
These #fingerboard trucks are INSANE! These trucks are packed with features and are even better than the BRT 2.0's with its reinforced baseplate, locknuts and improved axles.
Note: I purchased these trucks from Blackriver's online store :)
I've decided to setup the most epic deck I can...
A truly "One-of-a-Kind" Berlinwood 29mm Split-Ply created by Mike Schneider with som limited-edition Flatface Wheels Arctic Swirls. This setup is aesthetic, but also shreds!
I used the Berlinwood in my fingerboard parts in Steil Am Steig #4 & #7. Those were the most epic videos I've been a part of! - Zábava
Let me know if you've enjoyed this video by leaving a comment! Are you going to buy a set of 3.0s?
Got a set of the 3.0’s coming in from Exodus Ride Shop. I can’t wait to try them out!
@@FountainCityFingerboards Loving my set! Which size did you end up getting?
@@cdplaya 34mm Silver!
Dude! Is there a way for me to contact you?
It's kaleb chao5art sharpie artist from Salem event
waiting for the 3.0s to reach my local shop here! Definitely want to try them out and see the differences too
Yes! I'll be buying more soon from a shop in the USA to limit the shipping costs haha The BRT 3.0's ride similar to the 2.0's but are even more solid. The baseplates are noticeably thicker (but not awkwardly thick). They most likely are slightly heavier, but that could just be in my head!
Phenomenal review! Thanks for helping me gain some insight over what to expect and what the 3.0's would look like! Thanks Chris!
Thank you! I'm glad the review helped 😁 I just bought sets of 34 BRT on both 2.0 & 3.0, and another 3.0 set in 32, and will be measuring both the dimension sof the trucks as well as the weight to compare differences between them. I may expand this to also include Dynamic trucks as well!
Ace video bro. Have ordered some, can’t wait to see what they’re like
Always so great to see you drop new content!!! Another great video with another perfectly matched setup! Stoked for the next one!!!!
Thank you!!
@@cdplaya you are very welcome 🙏🏽
They look great. I just got into dynamic trucks myself so I'll give those a fair shot before I jump to Black River. Thanks for the review.
Dynamics are fantastic trucks as well! It's amazing the options we have now versus 10 years ago 😁
As always good video Chris
Thank you for always supporting my channel, Felipe! ❤️
Probably gonna get me a set. Nice vid chris
They are worth the premium cost imo!
The board couldn't get more GUAPA (Gorgeous). I'd like to rock the white or the silver ones. Hopefully, I can get a complete one in the near future.
BRT's for life!
Amen to that brother!
This video is great!! Any follow-up reviews on this trucks?
Hey Sheldon! I've received two more pairs of BRT 3.0s (32mm and 34mm) and will be doing an in-depth dive into them :) I'll most likely have the video up either this weekend or the following!
Wheels look nice
Love the Arctic Swirls... if they are ever re-released I'll buy like 20 sets 😅
That graphic, Dude... 🎴
I might get those! Since I get alot of money from my relatives almost every holiday, I saved up about 30$, I have a complete that has tech deck trucks so I might get those so I can make it look more pro and less ugly.
Nevermind, to expinsive, at least I can put it on my Christmas list so I can get them for free. Its sometimes good to be young.
They are beautiful trucks for sure :D
bro said $30
@@asherarteaga5331 yah, I know I did, but guess what, I saved up 150$ and got a whole new setup with Brts at Vous 33.
@@The_Joe00sgood job bro keep it up!! Don’t listen to haters , it’s not worth it, trust
What are the trucks made out of? I’m guessing it’s made from aluminum alloy.
the axle on each set up my 2.0's always goes out of place on one side, it's annoying and idk how to fix it. I bought a set of these so hopefully the axle will stay in place
I've had that happen before! There's a couple of fixes that people do including securing the trucks with a vice and hammering the axle in from the opposite side or using a sort of glue to secure the axle in the correct position. I'll see if I can cover how to fix the BRT axle issue on a future video :)
@@cdplaya 100%, the axle is out of place and just stuck in that position for me. it isn't loose, so the axle doesn't spin. It just literally is out of place and even if I hit the longer side a few times it doesn't go back. Idk what to do
@@cdplaya whats the best size im use to pro serious tech deck boards with like teak tuning trucks but i see slushcult has black river trucks any recomendation
Hey can you give me some advice about to buy brt for my new set up but been bombarded with negative reviews about stripping and breaking baseplates. It's got me so anxious how hard are they to install ? This my first pro build so never installed br before is there a vid or just some steps you can give me . I've assembled boards before but never had to create the pattern for the bolts that has me worried I might strip the baseplates please lmk thanks
Blackriver Trucks are amazing, and of the highest quality in the game! I'd say about 95% of stripped baseplates are user caused. Usually, it's one of two things: 1) tightening the truck with too much torque or 2) using non-BRT screws. I've had dozens of Brats over the years and of these only one baseplate stripped. I had used a Tech Deck screw!
In a situation where you lose a screw either buy a replacement pack or run with three screws 😁
@@cdplaya thanks for the advice and getting back to me and that's such a relief to hear thanks brother!😄
im not too sure how i feel about them being so much thicker than the 2.0s. one of the things i like about the 2.0s is how much like Indy trucks. That being said, I will hold out judgement until i get a 34mm set for my new goo deck. Great vid, love your review style
Once I get my sets of 32 and 34 BRT 3.0's I will measure them against the 2.0's to see what the differences are!
Whats size is better for basic shreding
@@fbpapad408 honestly size doesnt make a difference on its own. I'd say if you have larger hands go with a 34mm. Some people say bigger decks flip slower but are easier to land on, and vice versa for smaller sizes. If you're just getting into fingerboarding i would suggest a 32mm deck as a good middle point to learn the basics on. Then from there if you feel like a larger deck would help you that's when you'd get something larger. That being said, theres nothing wrong with having smaller hands and liking a larger deck. It's all preference. I would say stay away from drastic shaped decks as you could unknowingly be making some tricks harder than they need to be.
@@jamesflowers8054 im 28 ive played with tech decks for years and can hit like all tricks that look legit on skateboards like i like real tricks you feel me so know im just like barely using my first teak tuning trucks and polly wheels on a pro serious tech deck and i get the landing down crazy smooth and more relaxed but im not going to lie i got good with the basic 29 mm tech deck
@@fbpapad408 word. I'd say step it up to a 32mm and see how you like the bigger size. I feel like larger, heavier finger boards respond more realistically, as well.
Wish I had the spair cash
For sure, if I extra cash I'd buy so many sets of 3.0s!
Sorry bro but this is not a review. This is a unboxing. You should know what they change to the 2.0. The Hangers are thicker and the design has changed. But overall a nice clip 👌
Thank you for letting me know - I do discuss the changes at 2:15 and at 3:30. There, I mention the thicker baseplate, the reinforced axle, and improving the locknuts. I'll be doing a deep dive review where I compare pairs of new BRT 2.0 and 3.0 side-by-side after the holidays!
@@cdplaya oh bro sorry.. watched this at work with minimal sound 😅 I'm stoked to see the real difference between these two 💪
Did you change your profile name? Idk maybe I’m wrong but it looks different… anyways good vid
it used to be cdplaya0
Good catch 😁 I did! I was able to secure Cdplaya on CZcams which was my original username back in the day!
still no threaded baseplates... unacceptable for the price they charge
