Bill Hader is unexplainably the definition of comedic genius. He does it all perfectly
it makes it even better knowing that he's almost definitely anxious as hell up there. Dude has serious stage fright (not sure if that's really the right word but you know what I mean) and that makes all of his work on SNL just so crazy impressive to me! Being funny when you're nervous is *HARD*

This isn't a sketch, this is just John Mulaney's stress dream.
@@yourinnerlawyer4035 yes I know. That's why I made this joke about him. The writer of the sketch.
“In a word... chaos.” is the most Mulaney punchline ever written.
@@MrHootie249 I see. So chaos, otherwise known as complete disorder and confusion, is being referred to as a ladder, which is a perfectly symmetrical structure comprised of a series of identical organized steps between two solid durable bars that's used for safe stable protocol and order. "Order" of course being the total goddamn opposite of "chaos." But it's a song. I guess my issue is with Ramin Djawadi, and not with you, Justin Coccia. Good vibes to you.
Bill Hader's gameshow host never fails to crack me up. He's a sadist through and through, and he enjoys every second of agony he can wring out of his poor contestants.

@Sarthak Sharma YES! How he hits little subtle things like that in his lines makes him so brilliant. The little tiny pause before hitting the word "HIM"... small stuff like that pushes him over the top for me.

“no you’re not seeing double, theres three women there” is an underrated line
My absolute favourite SNL sketch ever, a masterclass in writing and timing.
Every second line turns the scene upside down and there is such a tension throughout. The chemistry between Mulaney and Hader is just unreal. Hader's delivery of every line is hilarious and unsettling at the same time. It never dips for a full 7 minutes. This sketch literally plays in my head when I'm trying to sleep. Thanks Bill Hader :|
I just want to reiterate this. It's my favorite too. Bill Hader's delivery and timing is peak performance here. It's so nuanced. Of course, it's an expertly written sketch and they just pulled it off so fantastically.
They almost broke Bill Hader with "The Squad"
Yeah, you could hear him go back to his normal voice for a second there.
As a person who can't remember names for shit, this is horror.
Was just thinking this was like something out of a horror movie, where the host is out for revenge. I also suck at remembering names and faces too, but the difference is I feel bad about it and I'd know the name of my best friends SO of 4 years who I'd met at least 20 times.
Yup. My saving grace is that I wouldn't have gotten those celebrity names either.
When someone tells me their name the first time, in 2 seconds, I forget.
Bill saying "unreal. unreal." my love for him and his talent is unreal
