Oh I love D. E. Stevenson, and I liked Miss Buncle’s Book, but it’s not my favorite (but it was my first). I love her writing. The British women writers from that era are my favorites.
Oh dear, why would Worsley give spoilers? Good grief, I hope she doesn’t give spoilers for any others. Christie’s books are still being read and sold at full price. Even the used ones are pricey at used bookstores. It astounds me that she did that.

She kind of explains why in the television series - that she feels that what Christie accomplished with her writing is more important than the individual plots themselves. She does the same for some sensation novels in A Very British Murder, too. I see her point, but I am glad I read them beforehand.

I believe that the skin condition you are trying to explain is Vitiligo.

Thanks for the excellent summary of some of your favourites, you have inspired me to make The Way We Live Now my next read. The Mimi Matthews looks good too. The skin melanin condition is called vitiligo but i’m sure you’ve looked that up by now 😊

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed The Late Mrs. Willoughby! That's on my mental long term TBR.

Great favorites! I'm so glad to see those two Trollopes in your list. I reread The Way We Live Now last year, on audiobook, and what an experience it was. I have the first Claudia Grey Austen-inspired mystery on my shelves and am hoping to read it this year, perhaps in July. I love your cosy/romance favorites. I need to get to this Mimi Matthews series soon.
One of my favorite reads was Sylvester by Georgette Heyer, which I highly recommend.

I hope you enjoy them! I need to read more Georgette Heyer. I think Richard Armitage read an abridged version of Sylvester...

Hi Heather, The Heroine's Bookshelf is going on my TBR. Am starting A Snowfall of Silver today. Of the seven Trollope's you read which were on the shorter side?.

I would say The Warden is probably his shortest. They tend to get chunkier as you go (though this also might depend on the size of your edition).

Loved "Catch and Kill" but thought some of it could've been edited to eliminate excessive/repetitive details. Added the Shakespeare book!
