- I’m finally done with the sunway a level video!! starting/choosing what course you are going to be doing may seem daunting. I had only been a spectator of the proceedings at Sunway. Now that i have graduated and gotten a chance to immerse myself in the sunway life, i can share with you my experience with Sunway’s a levels and answer your questions. Also I am sorry if u notice i mumble a bit in this video, I suck at talking. Thank you so much for uploaded this! I just finished my SPM examination and I plan to take A-Levels but then, I have no confidence if I can handle it because I'm not very academically smart and most of people including my mom discouraged me to take it :(
But! This video just made me feel better about my choice! Definitely going to pick 3 subjects (thought about Law but I don't think I can handle more essay-based subs 💀 lmao) which is Psychology, English Lit (!) and History! And of course, I might either going to Sunway or MCKL, still unsure :')

yea we have to exempt our paper 3 for AS but we are still going to have lab sessions after Nov (hopefully). Altho I'm from mckl but sunway has kind of the same set up too.

thank you for your video! may i ask, how frequent was the internal examination in sunway?
it wasn’t very frequent but depending on the lecturer u may get quizzes and exercises! i rmbr we had one early exam, a midterm exam then a mock exam but im not sure if its accurate now so defo check out their website! 😉
I read somewhere that you would need to take add maths in secondary school prior only then you could take maths A Levels in Sunway is this true? If it is true is there any way I can take maths A levels there without take add maths prior?
there is no prerequisite stating that you must take spm/igcse add math to take a level math, but i must say that a level maths is basically an extension of spm/igcse add math. I would see how it would be tricky to make the transition from regular maths to a level maths. definitely recommend going through some past papers and see if it’s something that you are comfortable learning cause you might need to put a lot of extra effort to catch up :DD
Do you know much about KTJ and KYUEM and do you thing their "image" of being top schools for oxbridge acceptance affects the acceptance rate of the students actually applying?
To be very honest, i do not think it plays much of a difference. It is not a mutually inclusive thing-it does not mean that getting into ktj/ky would automatically secure u a place in oxbridge/a reputable uni based on their ‘name’, nor does getting into sunway for example put you at a disadvantage in getting into the aforementioned unis as well. I have friends who get into oxbridge regardless if their ky/ktj or not. I think the correlation of ky/ktj students getting into reputable unis is not simply due to the ‘name’, but more so that the students are usually scholarship students/really smart people in general. However honestly not something i would be too worried about when choosing a college. :)
@@lxyen Thank you! did you choose the july/sep intake? Did you think it was too short? other colleges like KYUEM are 24months for their a levels
i did the jan 20 intake which was 1 and a half years, its definitely more fast paced but still doable :))
Hello just have a really important question please help your girl out, i wanted to ask how many subjects do i need for interior designing or engineering in general and do i need to take a level what score do i need to get on my GCSE’s , im in desperate need of help!!!!!
there is no certain amount of subjects u need - i suggest searching up the courses at the unis u intend on going and u will get a grasp on what a levels and scores u need to get :DD they will usually list the pre requisites on the course website

how bout ielts ? do sunway provide the exam for it or we need to find it by ourselves (like British council)
yes they do provide ielts! u just need to take the ‘english’ subject during subject selection
quick question, is the sunway college and sunway university in the same building? do we get access to the sunway pyramid mall, starbucks etc like in the uni campus or is this is in a totally different place and is not as developed?
college and uni is linked tgt, it's just a few steps away. And for the mall she mentioned in the video that u can take the canopy walk there from college

Hi may I ask you gotten 9as but why didnt you apply for scholarship like Petronas,JPA?Is it becus difficult to get?
hihi my 9As were a mixture of A+/A but for JPA and petronas i think u need at least 8A+ and above which i did not fulfill lolol 😢😢 also, those scholarships r usually for a set of courses i.e engineering, medicine etc so funding for less well known courses is a bit tough to come by

A few of my friends stayed at nadayu, sunway geo. Though im not that qualified to give advice since i dont really know, nadayu seems the best weighing cost and distance to sunway, literally next door to sunway 😂

May I ask is Sunway KL better than in JB?
aww im not really qualified on this because i haven’t been to JB sunway nor do i have any info but i think in sunway KL u probably get slightly better facilities and city life 😊

My sister had an experience where she passed all her sciences, so she thought she could sign up for the foundation in Science course but the counsellor just told her, “ I don’t think you’ll do well in this field” and just told her she’s not eligible for it, she made sure she passed as what they required, at least 5C’s but they rejected her
i believe the counselor’s only few encounters with her will only offer limited information for her to give consecutive advice. based on the fact ur sister passed all her sciences and the pool of students that the counselor may have encountered, her advice may be a bit harsh coming from someone who doesn’t really have much information to offer constructive advice in the first place. it is true that it will be tough because foundation in Science definitely requires you to at least have the fundamental basics laid instead of barely passing, but if that is something that the person is passionate about and is willing to commit to knowing that a lot of effort will be involved, I think the advice the counselor gave is up to your discretion :))
i like how our first sem exams are the worst, i got a D for chemistry 🤡
