    It's amazing how much difference lower footpags can have on comfort on a bike. A little adjustment on the knee position while seated and you have a whole new bike when it comes to comfort for longer trips. I have done the same on mine, and I see many fail to adjust the rear brake and gear lever. Funny enough. This is also important for a relaxed and comfortable ride. Great video Sven. 🔥

      Thanks I will probably need to adjust the brake lever as well, but since I have felt that one was too low I will try without first. It is quite easy to adjust. 🔧

    Great looking foot pegs. It is awesome that there are so many aftermarket choices for the CB500X to tailor it to individual intended use.

    Honestly, I am surprised that you haven’t had this modification before. When I rode the CB500X the knee angle was way too “sharp” for long tarmac travels, so this is the perfect cheap solution 🙂

      I was waiting for an even cheaper solution but no-one arrived 🙂

    Would have been nice to see the exhaust side. The big problem with this motorcycle off-road is you can not place your right foot on the peg correctly. If you're on the ball of the foot as you should be, your heel rests on the top of the muffler and you can not drop your ankle.

    • @thetubelesschannel
      @thetubelesschannel  Před rokem

      Thats correct. It helped to switch to another muffler as I did on my bike....

    great video again Sven,thanks for that.....
    the lowered pegs are looking as a really good option....i am 60+ and think it would be more comfortable to mount these pegs....on and off road.....unfortunately these are the only lower pegs that i can find for a honda cb500x....thanks Sven!!!

    Hi Sven another great video, I was looking at getting bar risers because off-road riding is a little compromised (currently using Rally Raid pegs with the fat bar) but this looks like a better option to combine both the on and off-road positions on the bike, (I am about 180cm) thanks for the video and the link

    Hello Sven, thank you very much for posting. I just took delivery of my CB500X and knew that lowered footpegs would be necessary for additional comfort. I am 186cm tall and wear a size 48 boot, so I am curious whether my right heel will hit the exhaust silencer, particularly if I am standing on the footpegs. Do you notice your right boot heel rubbing the silencer?

    • @thetubelesschannel
      @thetubelesschannel  Před rokem

      Yes I do. You may want to buy an aftermaktet silencer... like the Scorpion Serket Pro...I have used.

  • @DiscoveryMotoADV
    @DiscoveryMotoADV Před 6 dny +1

    I am curious if you also found it necessary / helpful to add bar risers or taller handle bars. Even with the lowered pegs I still find myself in a more crouched position than I would prefer.

    I got knight design footpegs for my 2017 cb500x (the more narrow ones) and the pin doesn’t fit through the peg. I even ordered new oem pins from honda to make sure mine were stock and they still don’t fit.

    • @thetubelesschannel

      That's strange ! I have no explanation or theory....shure you got the correct pegs ?

    These look nice but crazy expensive. $225 for these pegs is a high price for such a simple thing. Are these actually worth the cost? Im 6’3” (188 cm) and getting a fair amount of pain while riding my CB500X

    • @thetubelesschannel

    I'm very interested to see how you get on with these Sven🤔as I am similar height to you, & have done pretty much the same upgrades to my 2020 bike😏I always feel that with the standard peg height, standing up on trails does feel like you are gonna be thrown over the bars if you hit a good enough bump in the road🤣 can't wait for the feedback vid😉

    I have been thinking of either installing bar risers or doing the same with the foot pegs as it feels awkward and uncomfortable when standing on my 500X. I’m 181cm tall so for a comparison could you tell me how tall are you Sven?

      @@thetubelesschannel Thank you. Do you also have bar risers installed. I have seen others who have them however it looks like the cables are not long enough to stretch the extra 50mm. I was contemplating getting the type that rise up 50mm and also offset towards the rider.
