After failing to chase ATE69 the day before, I decided to give up and chase the "new" E5Ts. I'd never thought that Long Win Bus would transfer some of their coaches to KMB (other than the 12m B8Ls). I thought they would be put on P960 or P968 but they were instead put on normal KMB routes which resulted them in upgrades. 219X was one of them today (11/8/2021). Comfy Vogel seats but however no USB ports and window blinds.
I took KMB 641 then got stuck in heavy traffic at Eastern Harbour Tunnel. I thought that would be the end of it but I managed to get to Laguna City terminus on time without having to wait so long. There were only two other bus fans waiting to get on the bus. Thought there would be a lot.
KMB 219X is an express route between Laguna City of Kwun Tong and Tsim Sha Tsui. KMB mislead a lot of people of express routes. Most of their "express" routes aren't really express which would make then take more than an hour to complete the journey. Examples of them are 11X, 13X, 16X, 213X. 219X however is actually express.
Unfortunately receiving a lot driver and encountering a lot of traffic, we still managed to get to and from Laguna City in under an hour. This can already tell me how much of an express route this is.
