oh what joy to be able to watch and remember one the truely great drag quuen performances of all time, a evening with regina @ the blacp cap or the vauxhall was somehow incomplete without Zsardays pout and handshake appearance... it set us up for the infamous finale. In drag queen heaven both are blessed as angels of entertainment... loved and sorely missed.
Wonderful Regina and Zsarday my partner (now gone) and I such fab times watching these 2 both now gone, I'm glad for my time being gay and out and about and not like these asshole nancys that are around today who look down their noses at this sort of thing...they have missed a great part of gay culture their loss; love to all that remember those great days and what fun it used to be XXX
How lucky were we to have this era of fun and memories..... The club's... the bars.... Comptons cafe after clubbing..... It's all gone now ..... It can never happen again.... I remember you too.... Thanks for being part of that :)
I loved And I’m Telling You when it came out (1982) but I lived in a small town and very deeply far back in the closet. Fast forward 6 years, newly out and a friend takes me to the Black Cap on a Tuesday. Needless to say, as a newbie, I was mostly baffled by Regina at first but when Zsarday came out on stage to the tolling bells at the beginning of And I’m Telling You and the room erupted, I knew I had found my people ❤❤❤❤
My god she gave an anyone try and stop as well she was doing it 🙂 over the glory of yesteryear you could go there with a pound and come back with change so many happy memories it was different during the second world war I believe that when Regina Fong was playing down the tube and rehearsing in the Anderson shelter but in all honesty there will never be another Regina 🙂 god bless and all who settled in her
A very unique unexplainable moment in time - you really had to be there! - so full of life and FUN Regina Fong and The Skinny Bitch took the word 'camp' and launched it into the stratosphere!! great and grateful memories
What happened to the dys we could go out and see all of this 4 or 5 nights a week for a couple of pints and go home and feel great and have a good laugh, those days have gon or am I too old now and just remisising?
I'm totally blown away, I never thought I'd get to relive this again. I was 18 the first time I went to the Cap and by jove did I live these experiences to the max! Does anyone remember Niki Vixxen doing Bette and 'What Makes A Man A Man'? Awesome.
This video is now imortalised and part of gay history in the queer britain museum in kings cross.... it felt bittersweet to see her there.....touched my heart
We were so lucky to be in the presence of these people. I would give anything for just one more night with them.
Me too..... We sure lived some great times.... It can never happen again
