Lovely country, polite people, everything is just awesome. We felt like we are at home. Maybe because of long together history of our countries- we are from Lithuania. Anyway, long live Poland. The thing about Wrocław is that you can live there fast, work alot, party and meet bunch of people. At the same time you also don't have to, there is a low paced side of this city, that you can always switch to.
Working hard and going directly from the office to the beach bar with friends to slow things down. This is mentality I saw here and I love it.
People are the biggest asset of this city, they are amazing.

      I can tell you something...
If you would like to visit some history and modern city- go to Warsaw.
If you would like to go back to the 90' in Poland and see also modern city- go to Wrocław
If you would like to see real polish architecture, historic places- go to Cracow
If you would like to see how can we change ugly city for real modern city in 30 years what you can't to find anywhere in Europe- go to Poznań.
If you would like to see some history, modern city and sometimes go back to 90'- go to Gdańsk.
I recommend every city of them.
If you think or you should to go.... I was in Poznań and Wrocław yesterday and one week ago- You can't find this flow anywhere in Europe. I live in Germany, but in Germany people think always about myself and they are going straight. In Poland you can see everything and how time is going slowly include fun, relax, peace, beautiful views and brilliant food. You will never forget this journey. Look out, you can fall in Love! It is danger, because your next vacations after first time will be only in Poland ;) Your own risk. Believe me, you've never seen that all what is happen in Poland and how friendly people can be.

Nice, but keep in mind that many big cities in summer have a completely different vibe. It’s because students are leaving them for a vacation and also many Poles travel around the country and the World in general. Cities have a nice holiday feeling, fueled by tourists and teenagers, kids who live there a whole year. On the other hand when you visit in May-June, you will get the best experience, students live, chilling in parks, beautiful people, optimism around because of the Summer holiday season coming and good weather. But, it will be crowdy. So you have to choose or visit more than once ;)

Cool. One of the most informative video about the Wroclaw. You just ask people on streets about life in a city and they tell you about main features.

Try visiting Katowice its not that far from Wrocław. Other cities I'd visit would be Poznań - kinda similar vibes to Wrocław and Gdańsk/Gdynia/Sopot (its call triple/triangle city - they are very close to each other - near Baltic Sea) - greats cities with friendly people and a lot of stuff to do, and also a lot of foreigners, so should be easy to communicate.

Qompany's comment below should be taken with a pinch of salt. They use 'we' as if they speak for the entire nation. They do not. There are 38 million people in Poland and while some will share their views, many feel the opposite way and welcome the fact that Poland is gradually becoming more international. Even the most patriotic Poles will recognise on some level that having a country people want to come to is preferable to having one that people want to leave, as was the case until recently.

    • @123zbysz

You should know that Poland for 1100 y of its newest history was multinational and multi-religious country with a huge minorities of people from everywhere. Rzeczpospolita (our Republic) was a mother for everybody wanted to share its values and culture. Even now we have our local Muslims (extremely patriotic and having great meritorious service to the motherland). Ethnic homogeneity is something new for our country and it is not the Poles' fault that our country lost 1/3 of its territory and that it was put under Soviet rule for 43 years. It is in our genes to be tolerant and to measure people solely by their merits and not by their origin, religion or skin colour. Regards.

We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

Worked with guy from Pakistan who was studying in Poland when prices were lower. He said it was fine most of the time but he was assaulted twice by hooligans. Apparently most students from asia are fine and they have plans to work in the west or US in the future but some did casue trouble in Poland he witness Police coming to thier house questioning students for theft and identy froud. He moved west after school.

I was born in Poland, grew up here and was assaulted more than twice in my live lol😂 It has nothing to do with your nationality or pigment. Poland like many Slavic countries are emotionally driven from times to times, so sometimes you will be surprised in a good way (Ukrainian case) but sometimes shit happens. That’s why Polish people integrate pretty well amongst Italians, Latinos and Blacks. There are some similarities in tempers.

I have a friend who lives in Warsaw who's a lesbian. You should reach out her and her partner on Instagram: instagram.com/les.be.together/
I can only speak from experience as a person of color who stands out while traveling around a mostly white country that I had no problems. Big cities are usually home to more open minded people even in more conservative leaning countries like Poland.

In the whole history of Poland, I don't remember it being punished. It is not and will not be. I personally don't feel any aggression towards such people. After all, I do not support the ldbt ideology based on political correctness and imposing a specific ideology, expressing oneself and imposing a specific pattern of behavior on the whole society. I am glad that the majority of Poland is not stuck in this madness like Germany. As far as being gay or lesbian, depending on your gender, you have nothing to fear. The law has never prohibited it. When it comes to people, if you don't aggressively impose your ideology, nothing bad should happen to you.

We can be friendly but we don’t really like foreigners. People outside of so called “western world” are to different from us and often don’t speak English or have any useful skills. Foreigners also make prices go up and often don’t have respect for our culture and life. We don’t want to have analogous situation to Western European countries where the local identity is lost. We also don’t think that diversity is something good but quite the opposite
