Happy new year Thonny, looking forward to another great year fishing.
That’s my fishing hole for the last 2 years thanks for keep it safe and healthy, happy new year
Happy New Year, Thonny! Loving this type of video! Please do more like this often!
Damn thats so crazy you posted this as I was literally fishing that exact same lure today lol. I didn't get anything huge but I did get a mixed bag with trout, snook, croaker, pin, and jack. Really impressed with it so far, my new favorite shrimp imitation.
Nice! I don't think I've caught that many Flounder in my entire life. Happy New Year to you and thanks for all the awesome content.
Happy New Year Thonn! Lots of wonderful videos this year.. Hoping exciting videos to seen next year 2024... See yah!!
What a great day of fishing! I was right there with you Thonmy as my adrenaline was kicking in too!! So many different kinds of fish! Loved watching this one! Hope you have a great 2024!
Alabama leprechaun works good on flounder as well as white color jerk baits.
My lived in that area for 50 years and never fished that pass-a grill jetty. Looks like it’s gonna be real nice when it’s finished I hope you’re doing another show there when it’s completed.
Awesome stuff happy new year man. Thanks for all of the advice from your videos. I know not every fisherman wants to give up their spots, but I’m in the Tampa area wondering where I should be fishing. Appreciate any advice!
What a action my friend let's go back and catch that keeper flounder 💪
Nice slam on that Ned Shrimpz!! That’s one of my favorite baits as well!! Try the Slim Swimz or the Streakz by Z-Man as well on that same jig head or the finesse eye swimbait jig head.
Thanks for the tips!! I like the shrimp a lot. Such a killer bait for this time of year cause most of the time fish don’t wanna eat! Especially big snook
Another good one Thonny and as you know from a couple of my previous questions you’ve become somewhat my classroom as I’m applying my freshwater skills to salt.
What leader, mono or fluoro, and what brand do you use?
Secondly what conditions determine your lure choice from say a paddletail, a jerk bait,, and this finesse style?
Personally I don’t use a jerk bait a lot myself but it’s a technique I probably should learn.
These subtle decisions are what I’m needing to learn.
Thanks Sir
Try the Zman 4” scented curly tail on the Bulletz. Works great on flounder
I got a nice 24 inch trout in the old 35 cent toll bomb hole on New Years day thonny. but no big numbers. a baby and a stud. if I had bigger shrimp I think I could have done better. the big trout came on a shrimp lure.
Another awesome video my good sir. Keep them coming. Was wondering what size
/style hook were you using on your zman shrimp?
Sick vid man we should kayak fish one day
Great content, if you bend the pro bullet hook up about a 1/16 to 1/8 inch those hook will stay in longer and better hook ups..
Wow good to know!! I was thinking of making it a little offset to the side because I was hooking up but they’d come off
There’s some nice holes off north shore beach next to coffee pot good wade fishing or kayak
Thanks for the info! Fishing hasn’t been good for me lately. I used to go out there and catch big trout no problem. The reds and snook were stacked there too but ever since that piney point spill/red tide we had nothings the same anymore. Hopefully it bounces back soon
I recently bought a pack of them I have never tried them but after watching this I rigged two of them up
Nice video showing off your setup!
What size Ned shrimp and jig heads were you using for the day?
Hey Thonny have you heard of thumper shrimp here in south FL they are real popular they are great shrimp lures. From micro shrimps to 5” they slay fish !
Yes I’ve heard of it! I haven’t fished it yet though. I might have to check it out
@@Thonny check it out make a review video on it would definitely be interesting
may i ask, where is that? I've been trying to find it via online maps but I can't figure it out. Many thanks
Happy New Year Thonny what size pro bullet jighead are you using when wade fishing with the Ned Shrimp???
I think it’s the Finesse Bulletz jighead youre using cause they’re smaller and thinner hook gauge. Thanks for the info and great video!
Happy New Year! Thanks for a great video. I’m still learning about fishing artificial lures. Do I buy hooks to go with the Ned Shrimp? I’m just using your link to order from Amazon. Where would I get the hooks?
Amazon doesn’t sell the jig heads. They have the 1/15th size but I’m using 1/10th a little bit heavier. But they’re called z-man bulletz size 1/10th in the green pumpkin.
Ok, ordered everything. Can you do a quick video on how to put the hook in? Thanks so much. Where would I cast it? I’m really a beginner!
What are the hooks/jig heads you are using with the artificial shrimp and what size? Where can I get those? Thank you.
What jighead/hook were you using with the artificial shrimp?
how are your working that Shrimp lure?
Could You be available in late April/early May to be my guide? I'll be in the Tampa area & I live an hour away in Brooksville. I travel in my 4x4 Explorer and actually, all I need are locations for my 4 day journey that'll convince me to come back in Oct-Dec. < You smashed them today Brother Thonny~!!
Ok looks like the Ned shrimp do the trick. I used your link from your previous video to order a pack from Amazon. Looks like you Texas rigged them with a 1/8 or 1/4 weighted hook.
I would like to know what kinda of waders you are using in the video! 😮
Thonny, reading your gear list, are you really thowing 1/10 size jig heads with a Zodias medium rod? What are you using for line? Seems heavy for the 1/10. Thanks
Yeah I use 1/10th I’ve also thrown 1/15th on that rod. I use 10lb braid and 20lb leader. I have two Zodias one medium and one medium light.
Hey Thonny, what area is that bro?
What length, power, and action is your Zodias for throwing the Ned Shrimpz?
🎉
Great day Thonny. Did you use the bike to go in? Went there a few weeks ago and couldn't find my way in.
Yeah! I took the bike! I have a kbo flip it’s super lightweight. Easy to transport
