  • This is about as close to paradise as you can get off the side of a major highway. This 3,800 square foot home (christened "Il Pelicano") is nestled into a cliff above the Pacific Ocean, and features furniture and fixtures from all around the globe. For a cool $35M, you can own your own Italian-inspired beachside getaway - minutes from Malibu's Point Dume.

      Yep, that is California law. The issue is really ACCESS to the beach. It looks like the only road would be the driveway which is private property but you could swim or kayak to these beaches and legally use them up to the high tide line.

      yeah but there is no way for public pedestrians to get there. there is a huge rock wall that goes into the water 6:37 and on the other side it just meanders off into nothingness 1:06 . so private 363/365 days a year maybe

    • @lestranged
      @lestranged Před 5 lety +40

      @@sirashley2355 There is a public state beach connected to this "private" beach and at low tide, anyone can legally walk up to the private section. However even the public beach is hard to access because it's a long hike down a steep cliff from the parking lot. So the amount of people intruding on the 'privacy' will be low, but they do have a legal right to be there. (I've been looking at the area on Google Maps just for curiosity).

    • @rond5936
      @rond5936 Před 5 lety +3

      OMGWTFLOL I'm a Civil Engineer of more than 10yrs. The fact that someone has enough cash to Buy something with an extravagant price doesn't justify the asking price. Even if the land cost so much , believe me $35m is still B.S. there have been times where a property with asking price of $30m ends up being sold for $18m.
      When an artpiece is being sold at an auction for $3m, the strategy the auctioneering company use is to tell an inspiringly ridiculous story behind that artpiece, and make sure to get the attention of multimillionaires to attend who can just splash that cash easily. That doesn't make it worth $3m. A lot of rich people want to let other rich people splash their cash.
