it's easy to be active here unless you have to work multiple jobs to live. the unfortunate truth of living in HI for most is that the "paradise" aspect only exists for people that can afford it. otherwise, it's just work and roaches.

She lives in a daydream while the rest of the island looks at her family like “hello???” 😂💀
If she was actually giving back the way they like to pretend, these comments from us wouldn’t even happen. We would be defending them! 🥱

How come I didn't see any locals at her dinner table? Oh, that's cause they all got pushed out because they can't live the life like her.

Life with family and friends is like Paradise, never to be taken for granted. Thank you for sharing these things with us!❤

I’m going to Hawaii in a week. I’m so excited and you have helped me understand what it’s like for people living there to experience tourists. I watched your video about it and I’m so prepared. Thanks 😊

Great!!! How do you afford all of this it is not cheap to live there?
Maybe help others find a way that is helpful for them to make a comfortable living also.

Ah, the life on an influencer. While the rest of the island struggles.
For a creator who speaks so openly on the issues Hawaii has, you rarely give back to the community that you profit off of in order to sustain this lifestyle. “My husband is from the IsLanD! He is also a FiReFiGhTeR!” Makes no impact and is not nearly enough.
The island watches while you live lavishly.

This attitude is why I dont want to move back here withh my husband... This is bullshit sorry not sorry. I will never be able to fit into a community where your hard work and success is crapped on because you dont give it or share it with the "ISLAND"... Like what. Even if you do one thing a month for someone that IS impactful in your community, its not about how much you give... I was born and raised in Africa and I hope my hibby and I can remain on the mainland... Hawai is beautiful but the people there suck from a tourist or outsider perspective. Theres no love for people who visit and no tolerance for people who come from other cultural and country backgrounds which I think is suoer shameful. Foreigners are treated with such disdain when they dont immediately just know wtf the people here want or expect... You dont move to a place just knowing exactly how to act or what to do, you grow throughout the years. So have some grace. This shitty attitude of locals are the reason why Hawaii is struggling... But hay who am I just a howly or whatever slur a white person is called...

Ok legit question. Springboard Diving or SCUBA Diving? I’m a springboard dive coach which is why I asked. Both sports are amazing especially living where you do but obviously I’m slightly biased 😂

Hey, do you remember that dude at the kid little kid cut his hair on himself and then they had to shave it down and then he said it was all funny I meant fuzzy and then he looked scared and I just wanted to support him and my hair was once like that too. I know it was scary but it’s better don’t worry it grows, have a wonderful day

I’m a quarter Hawaiian and a quarter Samoan, but you wouldn’t know that looking at me. I practice hula, speak Hawaiian, etc. Blood quantum is a white person thing. You shouldn’t just assume, but this creator’s videos rub me the wrong way cause she romanticizes our islands and culture knowing how doing this is harmful.

@kawehi13 I'm the same way. Quarter you'd never guess it. Same with all my sibs. I also feel weird about her content. On the one hand, I appreciate the messages she sends. But on the other hand, it feels wrong and culturally insensitive... My mom truly immersed herself in the culture and way of life and I saw all of it first hand. Alot of what she shows is pure romanticism and not realistic for the majority of natives.

There's no brown people because these kind of events are for the rich and transplants (new to the island). Locals are not going to these. They are busy working and with their own families. Family is huge in hawaii. Which is also why it's hard to make new friends because they're just focused on their own family unit. I lived on oahu for 7 years (same island as her) Racism to white people is a big issue. Because of tourism, the locals are very stand off and rude to tourists because of the way they treat the island. I'm on the big island now. It's a lot more open, but I still hear Haole being screamed out of cars to people on a weekly basis. I'm brown, and so are my kids. But my husband is very white. Luckily he's a very likable guy.
