This program should be national agenda not party agenda. If Ghana make it party agenda we will not see the fruits of this success.

Ghana made the right decision. We have advocated the idea that 60 percent of national educational budgets should be allocated to STEM every year for the next thirty years throughout West, East, Central and Southern Africa. This strategy is the open secret to the rise to power of Africa in the world.

Countries will only get ahead if they invest heavily in education and education must continuously change to keep up with the times, because the times are always changing. It’s not just robotics, but it’s everything. They also need to invest in teaching about business, finance, international studies and languages. Teaching reading, writing and math is no longer enough in this global world we live in.

@emeliatimmermann5585 I was not saying not to teach them reading, writing and math. OF COURSE they ABSOLUTELY need to learn reading, writing and math. What I was saying is that IN ADDITION TO learning reading, writing and math, they ALSO need to learn other subjects like business, finance, international studies, languages and all sorts of technology so they can successfully participate and compete in the advancing global economy!

The foundation (i.e., industrial base, accountability, etc.) is too weak to make use of the country's talents (at least the kind of talents the education system produces). They will all get scholarships to pursue their education in developed countries, and return to Ghana for retirement. There you have it....
