WHY DID YOU NOT MENTION THAT YOU CAN PARK YOUR CAR NEAR THE BEACH WITH THE CAFE NEAR THE BEACH
@@robbiedean2006 WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING đ€
@@WalkWithMeTim I'm not apologising why did you not mention to the public that you can park your car near to the beach 1 mile down I was waiting for it but nope not one mention of it.. Its like you left it out on porpuse
@@robbiedean2006 its just an oversight to be honest... why would I leave it out on purpose
@@robbiedean2006 The main thrust of these videos is to share the beauty of the place - not to see how many more cars we can cram in to each area! Anyone who goes to visit can discover the finer details for themselves easily enough.
Brilliant, my family home town. Been there for all my life since 1940. No where better for beaches and character. How it has change over the years but still love it and fish & chips on the quay wall!!
yep I love it!
With all the craziness going on in the world, what a wonderful way to escape it all with you on your amazing walks. Thank you Tim!đđđđâ€ïž
Your too kind dave
Hub and I stayed in Wells in 1999. It was the year of the full eclipse and everyone was descending on Cornwall, where it was meant to be the best for viewing. As we lived in Cornwall, we needed to escape the utter hype and so decided to go to Norfolk for the week. It was so quiet there. Hardly anyone around. On the day of the eclipse, it was a beautiful clear sunny day in Wells. We went onto the quay and someone lent us their welding helmet so we could view the eclipse. We only had a partial one, but you could see it quite clearly. Meanwhile, back in Cornwall, it was a dreary overcast grey day and nobody saw anything, although it was very eerie as it just went dark. Wells looks like it's been built up since we went, but still stunning nonetheless. The sands are very similar to Rock on the north Cornish coast. We stayed in an old B&B which was on a square and our room was in the attic.
Thank you Tim, beautiful Wells Next The Sea, typical lovely Norfolk Weather. Who needs to go abroad, when Norfolk has so much to offer love it â€
Couldn't agree more!
@@WalkWithMeTim Hoping to be down there next month đ€
Spent the day swimming here yesterday, absolutely glorious. The pools between sandbanks were so warm! Fabulous place. đ
Yes they are , I forgot my swimming trunks đđ
Thank you for the video Tim it was a trip down memory lane for me, many many happy hours spent riding my bike, and walking along the never ending beaches with huge skies.......Beautiful Wells-next-The Sea
Your welcome gillian
Honest to god one of my favourite places on the earth and feel very lucky to get back there a few times a year. I love that as you enter, the town's signage has the phrase "A Safe Haven" on it which couldn't be more true for me. Great video, would love to see you have a longer stay and enjoy some food/a couple of drinks one night too.
We have only just got home from a North Norfolk break, and after watching this video, we want to go straight back. I think your seaside walkthroughs must be of great benefit to those who are unable to travel and are housebound - Great for mental well being, please keep them coming đ
you are welcome Chris North Norfolk is my fav coastline in the uk
@@WalkWithMeTim Us too Tim, we aim to retire there. Hope your wife and little boy are doing okay.
When I dream of my childhood. When I smell the sea in my sleep. I'm transported to the pine tree beach at Wells. It really is the best thing on the eastern coast. A Genuinely magical place.
Really good video of Wells. Such a beautiful place . Been there many times . We are blessed with such a wonderful coast line in Norfolk.
Thanks Lisa
Never knew about the Buttlands area of Wells. That is just beautiful and very Chelsea On Sea. When I last visited it was just the harbour and the little railway to the beach. That beach is just heaven on earth and you can see why TV and film companies use this part of the world as it could easily be the Caribbean Islands. Well shot and executed Tim and thumbs up as ever.đđđ
Thanks david, best part of the country
Fun fact not known by many tourists: they open the high schools swimming pool to the public during the summer holidays and they have giant floaties you can sit on in the water :)
Great!
One of the best videos iâve seen that shows the many charming features of Wells - you even managed to feature my little motor boat moored in the channel just down from the harbor !đđ» Iâve spent most weekends and summers in Wells over the past 20 years and itâs always been very difficult to explain to people just what the appeal of Wells is , your video will now help me to do just that. Itâs only a shame that you filmed it on such a busy day. I know that this period is one of the busiest in the calendar, coupled with the impact of Covid 19 preventing many people from traveling abroad, but whilst the town has certainly become more and more popular over the years, it âs not usually as busy as it seems in the video. Normally, even during the summer months, on an early morning or early evening walk with the dogs I can often have that glorious beach to myself. Thanks again for a great video Tim.
Thanks Chris
Iâve just very recently discovered your channel Tim. As a 50 year old American (born and raised in Kansas USA), Iâve been wanting to visit the UK for at least the last 30 years. I love watching British tv shows (the IT crowd, midsomer murders and mr bean my favorites), love seeing the architecture in the cities and the quaint villages and now I love watching your coastal videos. Makes me want to get across the pond even more. I also need to visit my street in London (my last name is Downing). đ. Keep up the great videos! Thanks! Brian (p.s. I was bummed you couldnât find a place to park the boat in order to grab a pint. I canât wait to experience my first British pub!)
lol thanks so much Brian for watching truly appreciate it
Anyone from the USA is welcome here Brian. I hope you make it over here one day.
Thanks Malcom! I hope so too. Sometimes I seriously think I was born in the wrong country. đ
Sorry I left out the âlâ in your name. Big thumbs on small phone keypad. đ
If you do pop over brian come to norfolk, as just few miles down the road there are a couple of usaf bases, they live on and of base, snd called little America. It would be home from home. Hope to see you one day. Take care
Used to visit as a kid and ate the sandwiches before we even got up the road as we lived in south norfolk and it was a little bit of a trek. Loved the little train but think itâs gone now. Amazing camara work and presentation. Youâre perfectionist approach really makes it fabulous for the viewer
Norfolk is a beautiful county, especially north Norfolk: Blakeney, Mundesley. Old fishing villages, market towns, ancient churches.
indeed Camelia Subscribe for more ;-)

Love Wells. The place where I first tried Samphire âș There used to be a lady that had a small stall on the harbour front and sold nothing but Samphire... A splash of vinegar on it and I'm in heaven âșâș

great video. used to holiday here as a kid. my grand parents would take us every year. we used to camp on pinewoods and catch the train up to the harbour at evening. great times
Sounds great!
lovely pint after this walk about
enjoy Peter .. just one??
Gotta love a place that rhymes with ecstasy!
Wow that looks beautiful I live in Suffolk and have been explored most of the East Anglian coast but havenât been there, will have to give it a try.
What it reminded me of from that video, is that I have recently come back from Cornwall and it looked just like a Norfolkâs answer to Padstow in Cornwall very similar with a harbour the fishing town with boutiques and a picturesque walk to the beach but with Cornwall being so much more hilly.
Itâs interesting how places can be so similar in character like that but have their own distinctive features of course.
Thanks for these videos I really enjoy these, so relaxing.
Thanks Chris
Very good!
Thanks Colin
Another brilliant video.
Thank you roy
Great video, really well edited clips showing Wells off

Thanks a ton!

me too
Been there but didnt have time to see that much, thank you, good information plus lovely views
Glad you enjoyed it
Well done I love your enthusiasm for the area. Indeed its lovely area walked through on it walking the Norfolk coastal path and visited it a few times for the day. Another way besides parking there, is to park out and a local village and catch the local buses which drop you at Wells,. They cover most of the places up to Cromer.
Used to be regular but not sure with the coronavirus problem.
The town is nice, lots of small shops as you mentioned and places to eat and drink. II have never walked to the beach as such but will bear it in mind the next time i visit there
Thanks for your excellent work.
Thanks for watching Paul

The Albatross the vessel moored in harbour was the last trading vessel into Wells carrying a cargo of Soya Bean from Rotterdam
Think they turned it into a floating restaurant after a while âŠ.can any wells folk confirm or deny please? đ
Thank what a fantastic place not been there in years must go back camping at pinewoods
You're welcome glyn
